Boo freaking hoo?
Sounds like the state will save a lot of money while nature takes its course and takes this scumbag.

10 years is not that long for over 2 million dollars in bribes. Especially in light of the heavy federal sentencing guidelines for drug offenders.

Shoul have thought about that before taking the bribes.

Nancy Cunningham, an Encinitas Union School District official, continues to fight the government for a portion of the proceeds from the Rancho Santa Fe home sale. She should be able to benefit from the bribes because she "didn't know"? 10 to 1 she egged him on every step of the way, enjoying her mansion, the rides in the Rolls Royce, etc. Throw her in jail too.

The part that caught my eye is "doing manual labor for room and board" .... yeah, right. He was a Congressman in California for crying out loud.

If he's broke, then he will get beter treatment for his condition in prison, at taxpayers' expense.
No sympathy. You do the crime, you do the time. Unless of course, you are a Clinton.

I checked. All prisons have doctors on hand and trained medical staff. Poor health does not get you a free pass from justice.

I am speechless after reading about the breadth and depth of Cunningham's crimes. Given his position, he should not expect nor receive mercy.
One thing bothered me while reading this, however - the fact that the 'Toon, his wife, and his closest accomplices are living the Life of Riley - and their myriad crimes - when they finally all come out - will make Cunningham look like a piker..........

The chutzpah. After betraying his constituents, stealing from his country and dishonoring his office, Cunningham wants to be let off lightly? Give me a break. 10 years is too light for him and in any event he's getting country club accomodations.

If Cunningham/his doctors had found the prostate cancer early ( a VERY easy thing to do, now ), had his prostate removed, he would be fine now. But then, if he had acted morally, he wouldn't now be facing a long jail sentence.

Personally I think that the man has been punished enough, he has lost job, wife, friends, country, he is down, should we kick him?

I will remember his military service and hero status and let justice and God handle the rest. If he compromised this country and his actions harmed our troops the fires will be hot.

He should be executed for violating the Public Trust! No sympathy from me.
To: NormsRevenge
Real shame if he were to die in prison.
But that's the fate he chose for himself when he took the bribes.
To: NormsRevenge
It is truly sad when a genuine hero fails so miserably but if he did the crime he must face the consequences.
