Nancy Cunningham, an Encinitas Union School District official, continues to fight the government for a portion of the proceeds from the Rancho Santa Fe home sale.

She should be able to benefit from the bribes because she "didn't know"? 10 to 1 she egged him on every step of the way, enjoying her mansion, the rides in the Rolls Royce, etc. Throw her in jail too.

She is arguing that she should get her share of the profits they made in the house they bought in the 80's. Not unreasonable. A separate issue is whether she knew about the bribery and should be prosecuted for it. If so, she should give up her claim to the money. If they don't prosecute her, she should get her $300,000 or so.

Personally, I think she knew what was going on, but I don't know if prosecutors have enough to prosecute.

Come on... many wives have absolutely no idea what their husbands do for a living or where the money comes from. The idea she's culpabable with no evidence is a bit over the top.
