THE young man with the hot head calls himself Abdul lah, which he translates to mean "slave of God." This slave is revolting, in more ways than one.
"If anyone disrespects the prophet, it's our duty to kill him," he said.
"One drop of Muslim blood is worth all the blood in the world."
The man who calls himself Abdullah steeled his gaze at a non-believer.
"You insult the prophet," he snarled, "and you will pay."
And then this young man with no identifiable name displayed a handmade sign depicting four faces, all of them Danish. Each face bore the picture of a gun sight drawn in the middle of the forehead.
So much for constructive dialogue.
The protest has come home, New Yorkers. Some 1,000 Muslims came out yesterday — in the middle of the workday — to Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, ostensibly to chant for peace and foster understanding for Islam.
It did not quite work out that way.
It was billed as a peaceful rally for those who wanted to complain about a Danish newspaper's comic that Muslims say disrespects the Prophet Mohammed — a cartoon that's been hijacked as an excuse for staging bloody riots around the world.
But soon, yesterday's event spiraled, like a cancer, into a forum for expressing general Muslim discontent. And full-blown rage.
I heard chants against the war in Iraq and President Bush.
And of course, your old standby: Israel.
"All this pent-up frustration is about the illegitimate invasion of Iraq, the suppression of the Palestinians — our unparalleled support of the Israeli terror regime," spewed Muhammed Ali, a 28-year-old medical doctor.

About 25 years ago, I saw a doctor named Mohammed for a minor medical problem I was having. Before I left his office, he made it clear to me that if I ever needed an abortion he would be glad to do it. I was taken aback, as this did not pertain to my treatment at all, and I told him as a Christian, I would never do such a thing. Then I complained to the hospital...Northeast Baptist in San Antonio. I don't think he stayed on staff there very long. The Muslim jihad has many forms and has been going on for a long time.

You know, if they spent HALF of the energy making things better for the 'Palestinians' that they do bitching about Israel, the Palestinians would be living in relative wealth and comfort. So much time and money is wasted complaining and not getting ANYTHING of importance actually DONE.

Exactly. In fact, if the Palestinians themselves spent half the time they spend planning mayhem working on their country and building an economy (particularly with the huge amount of foreign aid that flows to them), they'd be living in relative wealth and comfort.

Therein lies the difference between Islam and the rest of the world, you invite him to a secluded place to minimize impact on nonparticipants, he'd prefer as much collateral damage as possible. To him, anyone not actively working for the world domination of Islam is the enemy.
