Kosovo bishop warns of terror

-- Giving the Kosovo region independence would encourage terrorism and jihadists inside Europe that rival al-Qaida, the bishop of Kosovo warned Saturday.

Artemije Radosavljevic, who heads the Serbian Orthodox Church in Kosovo, spoke to more than 100 members of St. Sava Cathedral in Parma on Saturday afternoon.

Though his visit featured typical gestures of goodwill and bonding -- traditional dances by the church's youth and a banquet of Serbian food like kielbasa and cabbage -- Bishop Artemije gave the crowd the same pleas that he is making in Pittsburgh and Chicago on his nearly two-week trip across the United States.

"It is my wish to sound the alarm," he said. "Working for the independence of Kosovo is to prepare, consciously or unconsciously, the ground for a militant jihad and terrorism in the heart of Europe, which will put at risk all democratic values of Europe and of America itself."

Representatives of Serbia and its Albanian-dominated province of the former Yugoslavia are scheduled to begin discussing the region's future Feb. 20 in Vienna, with Albanian Muslims demanding independence.

The United Nations took control of Kosovo in 1999 after a NATO bomb campaign to stop former Yugoslavian President Slobodan Milosevic's crackdown on Albanian separatists.

Bishop Artemije, who opposed Milosevic and Serb violence against Albanians before the bombings, has since repeatedly complained that the Albanian "jihadists" have returned the violence -- all while the United Nations is supposed to maintain order.

The United Nations, he said Saturday, has ignored a series of "terrorist" acts by Albanians during the last several years. He said the organization has allowed murders of Serbian Christians by Albanians to go unsolved and vandalism and destruction of churches to go unpunished.

"What is even more frightening . . . is the fact that the international community, instead of taking steps to stem this terrorism, now rewards it," he said.

Granting independence to Kosovo, he said, would only show other extremists that violence works. Instead, he said, the international community should push the sides to reach a compromise under which they can coexist in the province.

"Think about it before it is too late," he urged.

And not how the Muslims are demanding everything be handed to them even as they approach the bargaining table.

Not that anyone needed more proof that we bombed the wrong side.

Contact Group support compromise | 18:16 February 13 | Beta

BRUSSELS -- Monday - The unanimous stance of the Contact Group is that the status solution for Kosovo must be reached solely through dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade according to the guidelines set by the Contact Group.

This must be a compromised solution, which will bring stability to Kosovo, senior officials of the Contact Group in Brussels told Beta. It was also stated that no member country of the Contact Group suggested that a solution such as independence should be imposed before the discussions began, but officials did stress that it will be important to leave all options open.

“The solution must be acceptable for the people of Kosovo.” according to Contact Group officials, and responding to John Sawyers statements made last week, officials said that “everyone has a right to their own opinions on the matter,” but that such a conclusion was not reached at the last meeting on January 31.

At the meeting, Contact Group officials reached the decision that the solution must be found through dialogue between the Serbian and Albanian sides, and that the foundation for solving the status problem will be the UN’s Resolution 1244, adding that the Security Council will have an important role in the process.

The Contact Group officials also unanimously decided that the implementation of standards in Kosovo is one of the most important conditions that the Pristina Government must take care of, which will include the protection of the Serbian an other non-Albanian minority communities, and enabling the return of refugees.

Sources from Brussels stated that the chief diplomats from the US, Germany, France, Great Britain, Russia, Italy, as well as EU officials from Austria, senior officials of NATO and the EU, such as Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Javier Solana, Martti Ahtisaari and Soeren Jessen Petersen, who were all at the Contact Group meeting, all agree that the government in Pristina has done little to nothing in implementing these standards and protecting the rights of minorities.

I am VERY surprised there isn't more response to this chilling article.
Kosovo was the model for Jihadist's ["terror" forming] of the West.

Either Clinton is a fool or he wants to be King of the world.

Sounds like Israeli peace talks.

A familiar scenario and one we should learn from. What is
happening in Kosovo is exactly what so called Palestinians
did to Israel.

What bothers me is the sentence where they say that "the solution must be acceptable to the people of Kosovo."

Now that the ethnic cleansing is pretty much accomplished, guess who "the people of Kosovo" are?

If the 100,000s of thousands of Serbs who have fled Kosovo since 1945 are allowed to return, then we can talk about "the people of Kosovo." This now is a fait accompli, IMHO.

No more responses because this has been known since 1998. Pay close attention to the dates of the statements.....and declarations.....

Quote:

Holbrooke said the following:

Circa 1998:
"There's a military insurrection that is taking shape, backed by the members of the Albania Diaspora in Germany, Switzerland, and right here in New York City, where a lot of Albanians and Albanian-Americans are sending a lot of money and support to Kosovo. (Gosh - NYC? -SG)

Holbrooke: An independent Kosovo would "unravel Southeastern Europe."

JIM LEHRER: And they want an independent Kosovo ruled by Albanians, right?

RICHARD HOLBROOKE: Yes. And more. I met with several Albanian leaders in Kosovo who said their goal is an independent Kosovo, their goal is to recreate the Greater Albania that existed briefly during the 30's and 40's, which includes Albania, Kosovo, and part of Macedonia. That, I can tell you, Jim, would unravel Southeastern Europe and dramatically increase the chances of a general war. And that's why the situation is both not the same as Bosnia and why it's so dangerous.

I really need to stress this point so people do not misunderstand it. The Kosovo Albanians have been very badly treated for over a decade by the Serb minority in Kosovo. Their rights have been denied and the Yugoslav federal constitution was changed to reduce their powers. This was entirely wrong, and it led to the inevitable reaction which we're now seeing. At the same time, the violent solution which is being advocated by the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army, which is really not an army but a lot of different groups that are gradually forming an infrastructure of resistance, this approach is highly dangerous to stability in the region.

Sept. 10, 2002

Cumberland, Md.: Where you aware of the KLA and Bosnian Muslims' ties to Osama bin Laden at the time you were negotiating with them?

Richard C. Holbrooke: Yes. In fact, we were so concerned about this issue that we wrote into the Dayton Peace Agreements a clause requiring the withdrawal of all "foreign elements" within a short time after the agreement took force. When we found elements that had remained behind, we launched raids against them. Not all of these people were removed, and the effort is still continuing. Without the peace in Bosnia, there is a real chance that bin Laden would have been able to set up in the Balkans what he did in Afghanistan with far greater danger to the West.

Now--fast-forward Nov 8 2005:

Holbrooke, the architect of the 1995 Bosnian peace deal, who said that independence was the only way forward for Kosovo and its mainly Muslim Albanians.

"I cannot see any final status for Kosovo other than independence," said Holbrooke, who forged the Dayton Peace Accords that ended Bosnia's 1992-95 war.

"But at the same time ... this cannot be achieved without ironclad guarantees for the safety, security, and protection of the rights of the Serbs who live in Kosovo and the protection of their magnificent monuments," he said.

******* Okay, now for the grand daddy of all moves by the adminstration and I suspect will cause some issues......

Albanian Push for Kosovo

With negotiations on the final status of Kosovo set to begin in early January, Kosovo residents of Albanian origin and their friends in the United States have launched a campaign in Washington in favor of the territory's independence. An organization named Alliance for a New Kosovo was founded last month and is being run by two lobbyists from the American firm Jefferson Waterman. They are Samuel Hoskinson, former vice chairman of the National Intelligence Council and Kempton Jenkins, an ex deputy assistant secretary for East-West trade at the State Department. The organization has lined up a high-profile consultative council whose members include Frank
Carlucci, chairman of the Carlyle Group; lieutenant-general Robert Gard, former president of the National Defense University; William Edwin Ryerson, ex American ambassador to Albania; Walter Stadtler, who long handled European affairs for the U.S. delegation at the United Nations; Fred Fielding, who served as Ronald Reagan's lawyer; and William Walker, former chief of the OSCE's Kosovo Verification Mission. Thank you, but this needs to be distilled to sound bites.
Kosovo for Dummies. It's critical that Americans understand
this template for terror.

Either Clinton is a fool or he wants to be King of the world.

I don't think this is one of those "either/or" situations.

>>>>>>A familiar scenario and one we should learn from. What is happening in Kosovo is exactly what so called Palestinians did to Israel.<<<<<

Intifada II was envisioned by copying Kosovo model, according to late Arafat.

Jenin scam was modelled according to Racak scam. Israel learned from Serbia's example and did not let this happen.

The biggest similarity is the scam of invented nations of "Palestinians" and "Kosovars" that implies only they have the right to live in Palestine/Kosovo. In reality "Palestinians" are Jordanians and other Arabs, they speak Arabic and call themselves Arabs in internal communication. "Kosovars" are Albanians who call themselves Albanians among themselves.

They will use this model here. They already tried to claim native Americans were Muslim descendants. It's crazy. Domes and Muslims are everywhere. Chuck Misler was warning about this 20 years ago. He predicted the war in Kosovo and Bosnia. The problem is the press doesn't identify Albanians as Muslims. They also fail to mention that the Kerds are Jewish and that's why Hussein wanted them wiped out. Blasted media.
