So here's my question, and it's a simple one because I am a simple man: The New York Times will not print any of those Danish political cartoons that mock Islamic violence, but it will publish a picture of Mary, the mother of Jesus, covered with dung. What's up with that?
Here's what the Times wrote about the cartoons: "(We) and much of the rest of the nation's news media have reported on the cartoons but refrained from showing them. That seems a reasonable choice for news organizations that usually refrain from gratuitous assaults on religious symbols "
OK, fine, I agree with the editorial that appeared on Feb. 7. But the next day, the newspaper ran a picture of the dung-covered Mary accompanying an article entitled: "A Startling New Lesson in the Power of Imagery."
So we can't see the prophet Mohammed with a bomb in his turban in the Times, but we can see a sacrilegious "gratuitous assault" on Mary that came from a shameful Brooklyn Museum exposition in 1999. Do I have that right?
Once again we have a huge double standard in play in the secular-progressive press. In 1989, the Los Angeles Times and the Boston Globe, among others, published a picture by photographer Andres Serrano that showed the crucified Christ submerged in urine. Serrano was also featured in a New York Times fashion spread, according to reporting in The Washington Post.

Of course there's a double standard. Offended Christians don't come and cut your heads off then burn the building down.
Islamofacists - Do as we say, not as we do.
Hhmmm...That could change.
That's exactly it. They are WIENIES, covered up in fancy, high-sounding rhetoric.
A Startling New Lesson in the Power of Money
That's what the NYT is slowly getting every time they look at their dwindling sales figures. Unfortunately, they are slow learners.
The MSM's double standard is plain for all to see.
No, they are liberals, athiests and anti-religion of any kind except of course for human secularism. The reason that they will not denigrate islam is that they are craven COWARDS. They are not about to test their "first amendment courage" by making fun of those who have absolutely no sense of humor....knowing islam lunatics will in fact seek them out and cut off their heads and make videos of the act.
NYT are simply Cowards....one and all, nothing more, nothing less.
Probably, being a coward is possibly worse than being a liberal.
"The MSM's double standard is plain for all to see."

Its cowardice pure and simple. All the papers that refused to print the cartoons as part of the story about them did so out of fear not respect or sensitivity.
These wimpmeister's are just yellow journalists.
Dhimmi arseholes!!
Here's a cartoon that the world can understand...no translation of the English language. Of course, the stuck on stupids will not get it.

Don't know about you, but I've done run out of cheeks to turn!
Perhaps we need to examine the religious affiliations of those who own and manage the New York Times to determine why they are so sensitive to religious slights, but more than happy to denigrate Christians and Christianity.
The only cheeks I have left to turn are my butt cheeks.
christians are having less than 2 children while muslims are birthing 6. what does that tell you?
GK Chesterton said the following 2 quotes 100 years ago, and these are still as true today as when he first said it:
"These are the days when the Christian is expected to praise every creed except his own."
"There are those who hate Christianity and call their hatred an all-embracing love for all religions."
