BERLIN A German man will go on trial February 23rd for printing the name of the Quran on toilet paper and offering it for sale to mosques and media organizations.
Authorities say the man called Islam's holy book a "cookbook for terrorists" which he said calls for acts of violence. He said he wanted to use money from the toilet paper sales to fund a memorial for victims of what he called Islamic terror.
The offer led to telephone death threats against him.
Prosecutors say the man's actions overstepped the legally guaranteed freedom to criticize other religions.
"offering it for sale to mosques"
Not very bright is he?

Maybe he should of wrote it on a paper towel or Kleenex
is this for real?
Just out of curiosity, what's the actual charge?

While Muslims have responded with deadly outrage to the now-retracted report by Newsweek of alleged Quran desecration by U.S. interrogators, there was little outcry three years ago when Islamic terrorists holed up in Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity reportedly used the Bible as toilet paper.
Catholic priests in the church marking the spot where Jesus was believed to have been born said that during the five-week siege, Palestinians tore up some Bibles for toilet paper and removed many valuable sacramental objects, according to a May 15, 2002, report by the Washington Times.
In most Arab countries, the left hand is considered "unclean" and is not put forward (an important thing for al "south-paws" to know.) The left hand earned this interesting epithet in the harsh desert, a land of few trees and no paper. It was the custom to eat, shake hands, wave a greeting, all with the right hand while the left hand was reserved for certain "hygienic functions" or blowing the nose. (The left hand was cleaned by rubbing in the sand). For some desert nomads, this is still the way of things. Traditionally at meals the left hand is kept hidden in the folds of the robe.
The no TP in mosques or the story?
The story is true, the TP thing, well I don't know for sure.
Everyone wonders why Muslim terrorists are so quick to commit suicide.

Arab and Muslim Suicides Explained
Let's see now:
No beer, no bars, no radio, no television, no Playboy or Penthouse, no Teasers, no rugby, no football, no basketball, no baseball, no golf, no dancing, no music.
No bikinis on the beach, no nude beaches, no summer mini skirts and braless beauties.
No BBQ pork, no ham, no bacon, no hot-dogs, no burgers, no lobster, no shellfish or even frozen fake seafood sticks. No Christmas!
Rags for clothes and dish towels for hats.
Constant wailing from the guy next door because he's sick and there are no doctors.
Constant wailing from the guy in the tower.
You can't shave. Your wife can't shave. You can't even shave your wife.
Sand is everywhere. Sand gets into everything.
You wipe your backside with your left hand without toilet paper, and if they catch you stealing they chop off your good hand and you must eat with your shitty hand.
You can't shower to wash off the smell of donkey cooked over burning camel dung.
The women have to wear baggy dresses and veils at all times.
Your bride is picked by someone else.
She smells just like your camel, but your camel has a better disposition.
AND THEN.....
Your leaders tell you that when you die, you get 72 virgins and it all gets better!
So... Nope... No mystery here!
he he
Where can I buy some?
That's why the curtains inside of mosques are so dark colored.
So now if someone takes a marker and writes the words "The Koran" on a roll of toilet paper that's also a "desecration"?
Oh...I get it. So it's a legally guaranteed freedom to criticize other religions, until one actually does it.
Conspiring to print the Koran on single-ply generic rather than Charmin.
Only to the toilet paper>
Ahmed Whipple: "Please don't squeeze the Quran!"
>>>Just out of curiosity, what's the actual charge?
Didn't you the article? It was for overstepping the freedom to legally criticize. ;o)
Next the Germans will come up with a 'right to not be offended'. Oh wait...
