By HENRY AUSTIN, PAUL THOMPSON and VIVEK CHAUDHARY
RELATIVES of July 7 bomb victims told last night of their disgust at the hate-filled messages brandished and shouted by Muslim extremists in London. Kim Beer, 47, was among millions of people appalled by calls for murder and terrorism and the sickening sight of a protester dressed as a suicide bomber during demonstrations against blasphemous cartoons. Scotland Yard last night said it would try to identify and nick the bomber after being bombarded with hundreds of complaints from people who could not understand why he hadnt been arrested immediately. ![Phil](http://images.thesun.co.uk/picture/0,,2006060104,00.jpg) Killed ... son Phil
Angry Kim, whose son Phil, 22, died in the 7/7 suicide Tube blast between Kings Cross and Russell Square, summed up the mood. She said: It is an insult to the memory of every bomb victim that we allow people dressed as suicide bombers to parade around our streets. Scotland Yard was also blasted for the failure to seize ANY of the hate mob during the demos on Friday and Saturday. But an Irishman and a German were arrested for handing out copies of the offending cartoons. They were later released. The Yard responded to complaints from the public by saying its Public Order Crime Unit would study video footage of the demonstrations taped by specialist officers. It also issued a statement saying: We will make arrests in the most appropriate manner and at the appropriate time. The protests were over publication of cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist first in a Danish newspaper then in others across Europe. And the fanatics created a sea of hate outside the Danish embassy in Sloane Street, central London. Shadow Home Secretary David Davis also called on the police to arrest those who threatened violence in the demos. He said: Some of these placards are incitement to violence, and indeed incitement to murder. Labour MP David Winnick said: The cartoons were deeply offensive to hundreds of millions of Muslims. But it is unacceptable that, on British soil, there should be thugs demonstrating for people to be beheaded and actually glorifying the atrocities of July 7. Shadow Attorney General Dominic Grieve said: What took place was outrageous. Its a clear breach of the criminal law. ![Kim](http://images.thesun.co.uk/picture/0,,2006060102,00.jpg) Victim's mum ... Kim
Victims mum Kim, of Borehamwood, Herts, said: It seems crazy they are allowed to get away with it. Surely they can be arrested for inciting hatred. And Dania Gorodi, 48, whose sister Michelle Otto, 46, died in the Russell Square explosion last July, said: It is scandalous the Government is standing by and letting these people make threats against this country. Danes were last night urged to get out of Lebanon after a mob stormed the Danish embassy and torched it. Despite having tear gas and water cannon, 2,000 police were still unable to stop a group of protesters forcing their way into the Beirut building. It had already been evacuated and nobody was hurt. But Lebanese PM Fouad Siniora said: This has nothing to do with Islam. Prophet Muhammad cannot be defended this way. Danish Foreign Minster Per Stig Moeller appealed for calm. He said: It is a critical situation, it is very serious. Hundreds staged a rally in Afghanistan, and Iran recalled its ambassador to Denmark. An Iraqi militant group called for attacks on Danish targets . ![](http://www.billcaldwell.com/homepageimage.jpg)

What do you think of Muslim cartoon row demos?
|
I think the police should have taken action against the demonstrators. The placards held about beheading people were outrageous. They were inciting violence and the police must take appropriate action in the future. M Chaudhary, East London |
I think it is totally unbelievable the demonstrators were not arrested. How dare these protesters carry banners praising 9/11 and 7/7 and glorifying terrorists who carried out these atrocities. Matt H, Ipswich |
Good people will do good things, evil people will do evil things but religion makes good people do evil things. Hannah Simmonds

There is one word for those who praised the terrorists during these demonstrations scum. Byron

It is just so sad that the police are so totally useless yet again but did anyone really think that it would be any different? Peter |
