If IBM has truly open sourced this stuff, then anybody can use it, including right back home in the USA. This truly is a tide that cannot help but lift all boats.

My point exactly.

Keep in mind that our resident troll thinks otherwise. Thus, I went to show that if the only difference was that IBM sold their code instead of releasing it as open-source, it is probable that GE would have a different take on the transaction.
