I think this is going to be either a really boring day or a really boring day where Senators make 15 minute speeches on how Judge Alito will turn back time and destroy not only our Country and Constitution, but the very fabric of space/time itself and at the very instance he is sworn in the universe will cease to exist.

Good morning. I'm not expecting much today either. The committee had to spend time preaching and bloviating at Robert's hearing. Nothing done that first day was pertinent to Robert's. It was all about the RATS and RINOS.

Intro day - nothing much going to happen. It will be useful as a matter of ascertaining the presentation skill and style of Judge Alito, and not much more.

3 hours of blather before Alito even gets introduced! And they do not even start until Noon! We have to wait, what 40 days to hear THIS? And NOW Democrats are going to try and stall some more? Amazing this body gets ANYTHING done?

So assuming, (yes, I know how reckless that is with this bunch) that they actually go on with the hearings, how long before this circus closes down and Alito's nomination can actually move to the Senate Floor?

I probably won't bother torturing myself. Maybe just opt for the encapsulated version on Brit's show.

Upchuck Schumer was threatening a filibuster yesterday if Alito hides behind the "it may come before the court" position. Seems clear the moonbats are itching for a fight, but I think they spent their powder on the lower court nominees.

The Democrats will attack Alito based on Civil Rights.

Of interest in this battle is the family of Martin Luther King. Many speculate that Martin Luther King, Jr. would have been Pro-Life and fought abortion - an issue the Democrats do not want to confront head on.

The father of Martin Luther King, Jr. (Martin Luther King, Sr.) is opposed to abortion and would side with Alito on that point. There are other members of the Martin Luther King, Jr. family that are Pro-Life, so looking at the confirmation hearings from that perspective might be interesting.

Additionally of interest is that the vote on Alito is now scheduled to take place after January 22, 2006 -- and Monday January 23, 2006 -- the time that the March for Life will take place in Washington, DC.

Last year, about 250,000 Pro-Life people took part in the March for Life. It was countered by an awesome group about of 50 radical pro-abortion demonstrators -- probably 10 had to be paid to attend on the pro-abortion side.

It would be interesting to bring out the Pro-Family and Pro-Life aspects of Alito in the hearings -- a chance for Teddy and company to retain their lock on foot-in-mouth disease.

The propaganda arms (news agencies) of NBC, CBS, ABC, NYT, WP, LAT, Time, etc, are gearing up for their spin on the Alito hearings. They will give a new meaning to TRASH TALK with the new lows these media outlets will achieve in support of the failing Democratic National Party.

Best wishes to Alito.

I won't be able to be here, but for those not planning on watching, I'd recommend watching at least a few Senators to guage their line of attack. As well, catch Alito's first glimpse of a performance.

Can't wait to hear Teddy K. babbling like an incoherent fool at Alito's hearing.

I'll check the live thread because I've found that I just can't stomach these things anymore. I'm smart enough to know that a bullet through the TV only hurts me and not one Dim politician.

And now a word from our real Sponsors of Free Speech

The Men and Women who serve,
and have served, our country
are the ones who make sure that
the Politicans and Judges are free to do their job.

We would not have a US Supreme Court
without the protection of the Military.

Politicans and Judges are safe
because of the Military who protect them.

TEST : Call your Senator or Congressman's office
AFTER 5 PM, or on the weekend.
IF you speak to an actual person, ask who's in charge today?

Now look up the phone number
of your local military base.
Call that number 24/7
and ask the live voice you get
to speak with the person in charge.

Send a Thank You while you enjoy your Freedom also.

Schumer: "Sir! We cannot allow you to be so out of the mainstream! You conduct has been ourrageous!

Alito: "Senator, I think that may be a bit harsh! I don't..

Kennedy (interrupting): "You have had several weeks to comply with our request! Dammit! In all my years in the Senate! We cannot ask you questions unless you review what we have asked you to!"

Alito: "Senator, this seems a bit absurd to me to...

Boxer (interrupting): "I can tell you one damn thing! My people want answers! It's been out for several weeks and....

Alito: "Gads! OK! I'll go see it! If you really think I need to for this committee to do it's job".

Alito (later at the local cinema): "What they hell? those two guys in the cowboy hats herding sheep are kissing! Yuk!"

Great, I get to hear our dear elected officials say "stare decisis" over and over and over....

I hate it when these idiots learn a new phrase that they think makes them look smart.....

Sort of like when McAuliffe said "At the end of the day" so many times in one interview I almost opened a vein.

I think the Republicans are ready to fight for Alito....Orin Hatch was on Fox, earlier, and said "gosh darn it"!!

I could never, ever be a politician. Using tact and playing nicey nice with the likes of Fat Kennedy, Boxer, Biden etc. just would not be a possibility.

Well, I hope Diane Feinstein quizzes Alito on the fate of the Hapless Toad.

That keeps me awake at night. Justice Roberts was very lacking in a full disclosure about that poor Hapless Toad.

Poor thang. How would anyone like going through life and being labeled 'Hapless'?

I want Alito's legal opinion as a candidate for a Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States of America on the Hapless Toad. That should be the litmus test every future justice has to take.

{SQUISSSHHHHH}

[Dang car. There goes another Hapless Toad trying to cross the highway. RIP little green.]
