Alito Hearings Set to Begin

Today the multi-day confirmation hearings for Samuel Alito begin. They are expected to last all week, possibly into Saturday. First up will be a series of opening statements by the eighteen members of the Senate Judiciary Cmte. After that comes the introduction of Samuel Alito and his opening statement.

NOTICE OF COMMITTEE HEARING

The Senate Committee on the Judiciary has scheduled a hearing on the nomination of Samuel A. Alito, Jr. to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States for Monday, January 9, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. in the Senate Hart Office Building Room 216.

Chairman Specter will preside.

He stuck to talking about Alito and not bringing up President Bush for no reason.

Ahhhhh....but there is a reason. Biden is the only DemocRAT so far NOT to mention the constitutionality of wiretapping private citizens. Not the wiretapping of non-citizens who are suspected terrorists and felons.
It seems to be one of the Dem talking points today.

They can't stand after yrs of trying to change the face of America through many times judges' rulings....W is stopping that as best he can. W is turning America back to her roots...that's what they're trying to stop. That's what's scaring the hell out of all of those socialist/commie creeps, IMHO.
