The Democrats keep stepping in it, everytime they open up their yappers.

I'd wish that President Bush would unleash one item after another on his agenda in rapid fire succession. from here on out to his final day in office. That'll keep the Democrats heads swimming for the next few years.

Looky here...the rats are as pure as the driven snow.

By NILES LATHEM, STEVE DUNLEAVY, EDMUND NEWTON, and ANDY GELLER July 13, 2001 ......She got Bob Packwood, R-CA, thrown out of the U.S. House of Representatives because he clumsily tried to only kiss some of his aids. Barbara Boxer used this to get herself elected to the U.S. Senate as one of the Senators from California. Note also about Boxer: she was the highest overdrawn spender in the House Banking scandal during George Bush, Sr.'s presidency. She wrote over 400 checks that would have bounced except for the slush fund the Democraps secretly used to cover their excesses. If you had done that you'd be put in jail. But that was covered up by the left wing media too.

The Democrats biggest mistake is making this "corruption scandal" a domestic issue for the express purpose of winning elections. They're just as guilty. In fact, the public opinion poll of Congress as a whole is below 25%.

Most voters won't give a rip anyway, because they expect the Congress to be corrupt to begin with.

The way the dems and MSM is spinning the fact that there is as long of a list of dems and Reps on Abramoff's list is...

That since the GOP is the Majority party...they are responsible..and since Abramoff is CONSIDERED a Republican lobbyist..then the DEMS are not reponsible..AT ALL.

" But there is no excuse for the GOP. This is a terrible thing"

What is a terrible thing? That politicians take money from a lobbyist? That a lobbyist trys to influence politicians on behalf of their clients? That's what they DO!

Let the games begin, let the chips fall where they may. Abramoff has a lot of skeletons in his closet and I can't wait to see where this goes. Of course, you'll have a tough time following it in the MSM. But you'll also have a hard time following it here if you blame Repubicans first without first hearing the facts.

"Democrats accused Republican congressional leaders of corrupting the government..."

Unfortunately, the headline should've read:

"Democrats accused Republican congressional leaders of corrupting the government..... And the Republicans sit back, and take it..."

I totally agree with you that the true "corrupt Republicans" do the right thing and resign, but so do the Republicans that ARE NOT corrupt, but sadly also, ARE NOT backed by fellow Republicans with balls!!! And THAT, is what I am so tired of seeing... Tom Delay being the latest victim of this...

Newsflash! It seems they've yet to realize "Oh, we really have the majority?" They're acting more like "Really?? You mean, in the House, the Senate AND The White House??? Gee Wiz!"

Unfortunately, it'll just keep getting worse until the good guys stop grabbing their ankles... Hey Fellas! Next, they'll take away the lube... Start fighting back!

Yeah, it's funny hearing this from Pelosi. Everyone here knows the truth.

Except the GOP just gave them Delay's head.

People can laugh but silence killed the President on the war. Reaching out to the Dems killed him. Fighting back brought HIM back.

House Reps gave them Delay's head. It emboldened the Dems and gave the public that isn't as plugged in a sense there may have been something to the charges of a "culture of corruption" if the GOP was so eager to toss their "Hammer".

By default the GOP has copped to the charge of corruption. Given this is the path they chose for themselves, they have only one road. To impress on the public, yeah, some of us are/were corrupt. We're weeding them out, punishing them hard and making it harder to fall into that trap again.

Not the first choice I would have made, but then I'm not a spineless white flag Republican that recoils in standing up against the propaganda of the Left.
