"Instead of taking on the real problems, they face it with rhetoric," he said.So Murtha's taking on the anti-war Democrats...?
Good Lord, this man is becoming positively crazed with publicity lust.

Murtha accused the Pentagon of ignoring a drop in recruitment levels and tolerating such problems in Iraq as low morale and shortages of body armor and other equipment. Yah know... it takes big brass ones for the likes of him to say that with a straight face.
Murtha has been drinking the beltway dem kookaid for so long he doesn't even know that he's a lousy hypocrit.

"one of the Bush administration's chief critics, Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.), renewed his call for an immediate pullout, saying, "We've become the enemy." Truer words were never spoken, Mr. Murtha, you have become the enemy.

John Murtha and the entire Democrat Party are traitors and guilty of treason against the United States of America. They should be treated acccordingly by the American people.

Watched parts on c-span. It was truly pathetic. How could this truly be called a ''town hall meeting'' when you fill it up with antiwar protesters. Why have it at all? ........Maybe they all needed a group hug!

Meanwhile, the grown ups at the Pentagon, the White House and Central Command are WORKING the problem.

Experience proves that the man who obstructs a war in which his nation is engaged, no matter whether right or wrong, occupies no enviable place in life or history. Better for him, individually, to advocate "war, pestilence, and famine," than to act as obstructionist to a war already begun. -- Ulysses S. Grant, 1885
Mr. Murtha will occupy no enviable place in life or history.

Mrs.murtha is becoming one of those small group of rats that are in the "gift that keeps on giving" category.
Although she is a painful embarrassment as a one time Marine, congressman surrender is beginning to pay dividends.
When have you ever heard the Joint Chiefs respond to an individual before? She's breaking into the upper level.
She will send people away from the minority party as time proves her words to be pure politics over country.

Ping!
Although the ComPost mentions Free Republic, they mislead their readers by not mentioning the "CommonDreams" (Democrats.com) press release yesterday wherein Democrats.com and AfterDowningStreet.org take credit for this "Townhall Meeting" and more than 130 others across the country scheduled for this weekend.
That's an important fact; of course the ComPost would omit it.

Many of those at yesterday's forum were Iraq veterans who support Murtha and detailed their frustration with botched missions and shared flak jackets. But one veteran angrily confronted him. Those who watched CSPAN may want to comment on this.
