I, Hillary Rodham Clinton, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States and will, to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God."
On January 20, 2009, at precisely noon, the world will witness the inauguration of the forty-fourth president of the United States. As the chief justice administers the oath of office on the flag-draped podium in front of the U.S. Capitol, the first woman president, Hillary Rodham Clinton, will be sworn into office. By her side, smiling broadly and holding the family Bible, will be her chief strategist, husband, and copresident, William Jefferson Clinton.
If the thought of another Clinton presidency excites you, then the future indeed looks bright. Because, as of this moment, there is no doubt that Hillary Clinton is on a virtually uncontested trajectory to win the Democratic nomination and, very likely, the 2008 presidential election. She has no serious opposition in her party. More important, a majority of all American voters - 52 percent - now supports her candidacy.
But her victory is not inevitable. There is one, and only one, figure in America who can stop Hillary Clinton: Secretary of State Condoleezza "Condi" Rice. Among all of the possible Republican candidates for president, Condi alone could win the nomination, defeat Hillary
Condoleezza Rice, in fact, poses a mortal threat to Hillary's success. With her broad-based appeal to voters outside the traditional Republican base, Condi has the potential to cause enough major defections from the Democratic Party to create serious erosion among Hillary's core voters. She attracts the same female, African American, and Hispanic voters who embrace Hillary, while still maintaining the support of conventional Republicans.
This is a race Condi can win.

McPain, who pushed the Terrorist Bill of Rights through the Senate, as well as the unconstitutional McCain Feingold Act, and other despicable pieces of legislation, is a DemocRAT in disguise.
He is a pinko traitor, and should be recalled by his constituents.
John McCain is one of the most disgusting people on Capitol Hill, and that's saying a lot.
AMEN!
Go ahead & waste your vote. That makes mine more powerful.
yeah... and the anti-war left really supports the troops.
"The American voters will not elect a woman president, Republican or Democrat. And party machines will not, in the end, field women candidates. And that's the truth."
Yep, I agree with your analysis of the political climate.
She has a LIBERAL, not a "libertarian" position on abortion. The folks trying to get her nominated may not like to admit that fact, but she is liberal on that issue. They wouldn't like it if we started hiding Condi's conservative stance on guns.
It is my position to never vote for a "pro-choice" Republican in the primary, so Condi can forget about me ever helping her win the GOP primary. If we do end up with Condi as the nominee, however, I will gladly vote for her over the Hilderbeast.
Illinois had a recent state senate election where it was a white liberal Dem woman vs. a conservative black male, both runnign to reprsent a mostly black district.
90% of blacks voted for the white liberal Dem, who currently holds that seat.
I think Bill Richardson will win the Democratic nomination over Hillary. I'd guess the best Rep. to oppose BR would be Romney - BR takes NM, Az, Co from the Reps, MR takes Mass, NH, maybe Conn from the Dems, & fight in Ohio & Fla decides election again. Governors win these elections, not senators (or cabinet members).
I don't know about that. Cheney runs lower than GWB in the approval polls.I think he's been thoroughly demonized by the Demorats. That ticket might have a chance, but destroy...nah.
No better to have someone else entirely.
Not true Danny boy... He be the sucker, not the suckee!!! Haaaaaaaaaaaa Ha Ha !!!
The Condi Rice worshippers remind me of the "Colin Powell for President" crowd, the really don't care where the person stands, they just think it would be kewl to nominate a black person for a high ranking office on the GOP ticket. If she was a WASP male named Conner Rice and had the same positions, they wouldn't give her the time of day for the GOP nomination.
The Rice crowd is the "affirmative action wing" of the GOP. It's not a wise idea to listen to them, becuase they last gave us Mel Martinez. Look how HE turned out.

Oh well if that's the case, then I'll quit defending him.
Don't give up so darned easy... (grin)
Since you asked, I live in a major city and I never lock the door to my apartment. But that doesn't make your analogy any less lame.
