I literally laughed at the context of this article. This guy literally thinks that Christian reminders of Jesus being the reason for the season is anti-Christmas propaganda!

Everyone knows that the reasons for the season are presents and egg nog.

So his position is that he's against Christians putting Christ back into the holiday, because the holiday is REALLy about commercialism, which he despises...so he's against the Christians trying to reinforce the genuine meaning...
Huh?
I do have something against .... their ethnocentric...views.
I guess we'll be seeing this idiot's anti-MLK Birthday column soon?
Not to mention Kwaanza--except that one's based on commie views, so I guess he'll skip that.

I haven't seen any advertisements preaching the sharing of wealth, the helping of the needy, or participation in any other 'moral' activity.Check out your local churches, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities, etc. Unlike you, they're actually PRACTICING these values, and have no need to advertise. (And I'm not a Christian.)

No, this guy is a vicious anti-Christian bigot who seems to find it necessary to mock both secular Christmas activities and religous Christmas activities.

The supposed birthday of Christ, December 25, is actually the historical date of the winter solstice This kind of column is as much a Christmas tradition as a Christmas tree. Too bad this goof is going to have to endure Christmas, bitching and moaning the whole time while his family either puts up with him, or sits in their undecorated house reading the New York Times all day.

Typical Leftist whine: they start a fight and then play the victim when their target strikes back at their intolerance.
I say it's time those idiot Leftists were made to practice a bit of that tolerance they keep insisting they possess in exclusive abundance.

Ah yes! The old: "Now I don't hate (fill in blank here) but..." line. Many people who have something awful to say about someone else start of their screeds in this manner. "Now I don't hate Slobovians but...did you hear they molest children?" "Now I don't hate Martians but...I have it on good authority that they worship Satan!!" Same old, tired line, new idiot spouting it.

Personally, I have no problem with "Happy Holidays" There are, actually, several holidays this time of year and most folks celebrate at least two of them. Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa (yecch) occur this time of year and at least one of them is celebrated by most folks along with New Years which almost everyone celebrates.
"Happy Holidays" seems the most accurate and all-purpose expression to use and I am not offended by it.

The other day I wished somebody Merry Christmas in the store and the person asked me if I was Christian. I answered in the negative and told her that my religion did not prevent me from celebrating Christmas and wishing my Christian friends.
The leftist, secular mafia is using non-Christians and the fraudulent concept of "multiculturalism" as a shield to push its own Godless agenda.
