The New Treason Exposing the Myth of "Liberal Patriotism"

Down through the decades, we have heard from many Democratic luminaries that the Constitution is a "living document." Even Al Gore, the truly "elected" President, espouses the notion that the Constitution can be endlessly altered and amended, if only to extend legal protections to every sort of wheedling, behavior-based victim-group. The social grammar, the invisible infrastructure of our national life can (and should be) manipulated by small groups of griping people.

We changed the Constitution to accommodate brown people and female people and gay people, so why don't we modify the Constitution to accommodate even more people as well? Let's protect America itself, and all who live here, from the growing threat of Treason from within.

Since we've re-defined who and what a voter is, who and what a citizen is, who and what a baby is, and indeed what the actual meaning of "is" is, let's re-define who and what a traitor "is."

Times have changed, and the basic documents that formed our country should to be brought up to speed. Old-timey traitors would have transmitted their seditious information by runner, or horse messenger, by secret meetings, lantern flashes, encrypted notes, or servants and lackeys. Later (and even in ancient times) there were complex physical and linguistic ciphers. Then, in the Cold War, came covert coded radio transmissions, ingenious audio-tapes and micro-film.

But today's anti-American ideas can be communicated in a thousand new and different ways.

Hatred can be spread in moments. Subversion flies over the satellite networks in the blink of an eye.

On the Fourth of July, 2003, a woman called into C-Span and asserted that George Bush and his "cronies" like Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, and Donald Rumsfeld should be rounded up and killed. Yes, ..... killed. She dirtied the nation's birthday with the demand that the American president be assassinated.

Later in that same show, and on nearly every subsequent call-in show for weeks afterward, quite a few other people (all Democrats and Liberals, of course) advocated killing the president and his administration. They called President Bush "thug," "terrorist," "criminal;" they called him "Hitler," "killer," "deserter," "coward;" they called him "racist," "puppet," "dupe," "fascist," "thief," "deserter" and "LIAR!"

They maintain that America is the most criminal nation on Earth, the cruelest nation, the most hypocritical nation, the most tyrannical nation, indeed the most EVIL nation there ever was, and as such we deserve to be destroyed by the combined forces of the poor of the world, the workers of the world, the non-white people of the world, and especially by our Islamic victims.

These people absolutely HATE America. They hate our leaders. They hate our way of life. And they're all Americans themselves!

These Americans feed their hate to each other, and they feed on each other's hate. It grows logarithmically, like mold on old fruit, until all the malignant sheep are beating on the same drum. And the bleat goes on, day after day, week after week, year after year.

They've decided that not a day shall pass which doesn't contain at least one pernicious, seditious verbal assault on the American President, designed to destabilize the commander-in chief and insult the traditional American way of life.

As we've learned from hate-crime laws, speech can be as much a weapon as a gun. The intent behind the assault is what matters to the authorities. And the intent of these Bush-haters is to undermine and wound the president, undermine and wound America's place in the world, and to encourage others to both hate and act against this country (and especially President Bush).

Now, certainly there's a major difference to be drawn between the lawful free expression of political opinion and the unlawful sedition of traitors. And, of course, these America-haters insist that they are not traitors at all. What are they going to say?

In fact, they assert that they're Patriots! Honest to gosh Patriots! They insist that real patriots question authority, real patriots condemn a bogus president, real patriots fight to undermine a racist, sexist, energy profiteering econo-tocracy hell-bent on dominating, depleting, and destroying the whole world by enslaving its defenseless people and devastating the environment, all in the name of greed and profits for the few evil-doers (like Dick Cheney and that evil lying bastard Bush) at the top of the criminal capitalist pyramid.

They allege that America is well served by negative criticism. Would a marriage be well served by the kind of daily insults they heap on their own nation? How could any committed relationship withstand 50 years of withering criticism?

There is absolutely no doubt but that America's Left-wingers are at war with America itself. They admit it every day, they call their war The Struggle, The Good Fight, The Battle. And why do they wage war on America? Because America is evil. Because they hate what America is: a country running on merit instead of redistribution; a country where there are winners and losers; where it's possible for one person to have more than another; where the government doesn't federalize and reallocate money, goods, and services according to the eerie standards of social justice, political correctness, and mathematical cultural sameness.

But, in the end, there's nothing else for it. They ARE traitors. They're non-uniformed combatants waging a very real war on America from the inside out. Their main weapons are constant hate-speech and vicious lies spread to millions of other enemies, both here and all around the world.

Just like Al Qaida and other terrorist groups, they're characterized by their lack of obvious regimentation and organization. Sure, they have their Taliban at the top of the war effort. Liberal super-nitwits like Ted Kennedy, Michael Moore, Norm Solomon, Al Franken, Janeane Garafalo, Mike Farrell, Ralph Nader, Barbara Streisand, James Carville, Julian Bond, Noam Chomsky, Cornell West, Amy Goodman, Paul Begala and the laughable "poet" Baraka (Leroy Jones) are some of the most visible fighters in the war against America. But they, and their repugnant ilk, are only a small cadre of highly visible co-equal generals at the top of an angry pyramid built of shadowy activist cells that range from college professors and students to the retirees who spike every call on C-Span to the eco-terrorists and the disloyal idiots who think President Bush destroyed the World Trade Center. It's these lower-tier warriors who spread the hate of their superiors far and wide, indeed to the ends of the Earth, through the new communication technologies like Cable TV, Satellite Radio (NPR and Pacifica Radio come to mind), emails, Web-Logs, wireless phones, Net Meetings, Power-Point presentations, floppies and CD's.

Just imagine the damage Benedict Arnold might have done with a laptop connected to the internet! What damage might he have done with a rage-filled website like Smirking Chimp?

Again, the whole goal of all this hate and plotting is not the mere expression of political opinion but the actual destruction of the President, America, and the American way of life. They try to recruit more anti-Americanism here. Worse, they both encourage and validate more virulent extreme anti-American sentiments the world over.

War, as surely as if they were enemy soldiers running wild in our streets; War, as surely as if they were setting fires on Wall Street or shooting into the White House; War, as surely as if they were blowing up statues of the Ten Commandments or the Buddha. While Al-Qaida, the Taliban, and the last of Saddam's losers attack our soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq, our own home-grown Left Wingers attack the Commander-in-Chief. There is no difference whatsoever, not even one degree of separation, between the people in other lands who hate America and the Americans here who hate America and it's President. The intent is the same, the hate is the same, they're both tactics of War.

It's about time we updated the Constitution by creating a new definition of treason for the 21st Century.

A definition which includes death threats against the President or his administration delivered over the public radio and television airwaves and through emails, websites, chat rooms, news groups and other internet facilities; a definition that includes the deliberate pollution of our common political information pool with lies plied by newspaper, magazine, radio, and television pundits designed to turn the hearts and minds of people against America itself; a definition which includes those people who actually make a living by trafficking in malice for America, it's government, and it's way of life.

It's about time wholesome Americans asserted their right to social justice. People who burn the flag are at war with America. People who call for the death of our leaders are at war with America. People who lie and distort, who mock and sneer at our national efforts are trying to undermine the administration of our very government itself by spewing hate and rancor toward the very economic institutions that support life on Planet Earth. They're at war with America, trying to ruin every wholesome thing for which America stands.

Now, if the woman who flipped the finger to Slick Willie Clinton (the infamous rapist president) was put in jail for three days, then surely the woman who called for the death of George Bush should get a few years in federal prison at the very least. Indeed, it would be a great lesson for college students to see a few of their professors sitting behind bars for spreading treasonous Anti-American contempt. And what a wonderful example for us all to see a few of these bile and venom filled C-Span grandmas washing prison laundry for the next five years, or swinging from a military gallows.

In the end, these traitors have, for far too long, hidden behind the phony notion that they are "patriotic dissidents." In fact, the Democrats have been waging a self-admitted decades-long war with America, just like the Taliban, only better ..... and longer. These people have, by their own admission, been conducting a "Struggle," a "Good Fight," a "righteous war," a "moral war," on their own country for the last 50 years.

In the past, there were fewer treasonous people simply because there were fewer people overall. Nowadays, there are billions of people and a comparable proportion of treasonous people among us, working their evil in the full light of day for all to see. It's just that easy. They spread their treason at the speed of light.

We, as citizens, must alter the Constitution of this great land to recognize and penalize this new treason with just as much force as our forefathers penalized the old-fashioned treason.

Today's New Treason is just as dangerous as any treason anywhere has ever been. Let's wake up and smell the traitors in our midst. Then punish them.

It isn't a "philosophy" at all, since it has nothing to say about the true, the good, and the beautiful. It's a fascist and relativist ideology, based on the idea that there is no basis for natural rights, that all "rights" are provisional and are, in the end, identical with the will of the legislator.
