I'd suggest that returning it pretty much dispels any notion that yhe wasn't getting tribal money directed to him...

But this is how the democrats do it.

They violate the law, then return the money, and that exonerates them. It's like they never committed the crime.

He needs to resign, be impeached, censured, and spend the rest of his life in jail. Oh, wait,... he's a dimocrap. Poor fellow, he was probably tricked by the mean old deceitful lobbyist into taking the donation. He needs an all paid vacation to refresh himself after such a traumatic ordeal.

Why is it when a RAT gets caught, the MSM NEVER indicates his/her political affiliation. BUT when it is a Republican, that big "R" is right there for all to see??!!

It is possible that he received money from tribes that were associated with Abramoff, but Abramoff wasn't involved in the donation, so the Senator may not have been aware that there was any shady quid pro quo involved. (On an unrelated matter, I hear there is a famous bridge for sale in Manhattan.)

Really, like Air America, at some future time, the money will be returned.

Here's a novel idea: Return the money and THEN write the news article in the past tense.

How will we every know this was was indeed returned?

Except they NEVER RETURN THE MONEY. Gore never returned a penny of the illegal Buddhist Temple money.

When I give it to the IRS on time dollar for dollar, I get fined for not making quarterly payments. What penalty is this crook getting?
