Able Danger, China, Cohen, AQ Data Purge = 9-11
The Strata-Sphere ^ | December 7, 2005 | AJ Strata

Looks like this is the week for my Able Danger predictions to come true. Yesterday, Gen Hugh Shelton confirmed my early suspicions that Able Danger was a technology demonstration program.

Today there is a major article on Able Danger out from GovExec.com, which has many fascinating details I want to discuss. This goes back to my theory that Able Danger had its initial data set purged when results of the China study, being done in parallel to the Al Qaeda study that had ID’ the four 9-11 terrorists/pilots Atta, Shehhei, Hazmi and Mihdar, came up with results that implicated people in the Clinton administration. I made this prediction back in September when the NY Post broke the China connection aspect of Able Danger (here and here). This is what JD Smith had to say about those times:

The China chart was put together by James Smith, who confirmed yesterday that his contract with the military was canceled and he was fired from his company because the military brass became concerned about the focus on U.S. citizens.

“It was shut down in a matter of hours. The colonel said our service was no longer needed and told me: ‘You just ended my career.’ ”

Ole Bill Cohen needs to come out of hiding and address many issues. Readiness, bombing WMD sites that left say never existed and this ABLE DANGER thing.

The IDC created a diagram showing how organizations and people in the United States were connected to the Chinese.

Anybody remember the Cox Report? Heavily redacted by a Clinton White House that delayed and delayed and delayed the release of the bipartisan Congressional report.

Finally it was released on a holiday weekend and promptly forgotten.

But those charts, now famously alluded to by Weldon and others as having named Mohamed Atta, sometimes measured 20 feet in length and were covered with small type, the former IDC employee said. The charts were so big, in fact, that analysts had to hang them on walls just to read them.

Exactly what I've suggested. The chart was like the ones I've used to define computer systems, each team defining what they did and its relations to the others. Working charts streching around a large room sometimes. No need to save them after knowledge is transferred to computer-based documentation. Go look at them to get the "big picture."

Even if the chart had not been ordered destroyed (apparently) it would have been anyway. It was likely just a working document. Why look for it? Look for the info obtained from it. Demands for the chart is a ruse.

(I recall reading about the PERT chart for the first nuclear-powered submarine. It covered the floor of a vacant airplane hanger. Why would anyone wish to save it once it had done its job?)

The Clinton State Department and ambassador to Yemen interference with John O'Neill's investigation of the U.S.S. Cole attack maybe prevented tracking to the 9/11 attacks, some say.

The Cox Report trashing, the aborted Cole investigation, and lots more. It ain't just Able Danger.

This whole thing gives me a headache. The testimony from officers under oath that even THIS administration has participated in the destruction of documents is something I just can't discuss.

Try not to be disheartened. I'm wagering a great deal of the Able Danger data was "lifted" and put into newer mechanisms. And possibly parts of the original program have become merged into a larger database (especially as concerns the digging into affairs, China).

Yes. It is hard -- knowing over 3,000 people might not have been murdered. I think I'd be feeling it even "harder" were I in law enforcement, military, FBI -- knowing I might have been able to stop the mass-murder, had I been allowed access to the data.

I do so hope you're right, Alia. That would fit with why the administration is trying to keep this so quiet. But they should take Weldon into their confidence (unless they think he has ties that he'd leak to) because otherwise, he's making the Pentagon look like they're hiding something.

Weldon's a great guy. And as long as the "heat" stays on, and it keeps the nellies in the Dem Party frantic, that's fine with me! I say "Onward! in the right arenas with that great data! :)

The Pentagon isn't hiding anything, IMHO -- it's protecting very secure and vital data, which I'm sure they'll release to the journos and bloggers, once the trail surrounding that data is cleared and dealt with. I'm sure some of the "sell-outs" at the Pentagon/State/CIA are going bananas -- one minute hoping "Able Danger" hits daylight; other days -- hoping it'll just go away. Who knows, but maybe one or two of 'em will just flat out exhaust, and fess up, very quietly.. lol -- WHAM! More Data! Very Able stuff, too. lol

True. But personally, I really believe in staying positive.

We live in a great country---really one of the free-est in the history of man. That is why we can learn so much (though not all) about horrible stuff like the Able Danger suppression.

But what we need to do is keep fighting and do what we can to preserve this freedom. Just read the Gettysburg Address. All those men died---and in fact, had Meade pursued Lee after the battle as Lincoln expressly ordered him to, the Civil War would have probably ended right there.

Lincoln felt bad, but he didn't hang his head for long. He wrote the greatest speech of all time, elevated Grant to supreme command, and preserved the Union.

We can all do our small part too, and it keeps going.

Its really incredible when you look at people like Allawi in Iraq or Gary Kasparov in Russia. They have so little to work with, but they fight for freedom. Despite the imperfections of the US, we have so much.

We will win---we just have to realize that the Leftists of the world are, essentially, united, and we must learn to understand their organization---loose in some parts, tight in others---and realize that subversion is their great forte and weapon---and learn to secure our own party a little better against it.
