WASHINGTON: China is challenging US interests and values in Africa, shielding "rogue states," trampling the environment and thwarting anti-corruption drives, according to a new independent survey of US policy on the continent.

Beijing and the United States are on opposite sides in a new struggle for influence and resources in the new "playing field" of Africa, the study by a non partisan task force sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations found.

If not for dealing with Iraq when we did, this game would be playing out in the Middle East, with Iraq and Iran shielded by the Chinese umbrella.

"If not for dealing with Iraq when we did, this game would be playing out in the Middle East, with Iraq and Iran shielded by the Chinese umbrella."

Soon the Chinese will be a much greater threat to America than Islam is. Trading with this communist giant is literal insanity, because this trade benefits them so much more than us. I sincerely believe this increased trade with China will ultimately be more damaging than Bubba Clinton's treasonous technology give-away.

You don't have to be an economist to figure out that our enormous annual trade deficit with China benefits them; nor do you have to be a genius to figure out that strengthening your enemy's economy and military is bad policy. Yet few complain of this suicidal dealing with China.

Especially when you consider that the biggest business owner in China is the PLA (Peoples Liberation Army), our trade policy DIRECTLY benefits the Chinese military.

We should immediately embargo China-made goods, blockade their ports, and cut off diplomatic relations with them.

China is NOT our friend!

Then W can move there.

Sorry, but Gee Dubya is not my favorite person anyway. His only saving grace is he is marginally better than the two putzes the DemonRats ran against him.

This Nation desperately needs another Ronaldus Magnus.

I was just wondering, do you call people traitors face to face?

I have never supported, nor been a member of any labor union. The only union I support is the United States.

Only when they support our enemies and undermine our country.

Only when they support our enemies and undermine our country.

Those are subjective reasons.

well, even Reagan did not do any of the following to China:

embargo China-made goods, blockade their ports, and cut off diplomatic relations with them.,

Intead, under Reagan, we began to engage them much more actively, hosted the first offocial State Visit by a Chinese President to USA in 1985, improved trade relationships, and provided technology development assistance ((including military technologies, for example see project Peace Pearl under Reagan).

Slogan shouting is easy, real international policy is hard.
