I got the "Happy Holidays" thing today from Sams Club. My response was Merry Christmas.
It's getting sickening.
I was purchasing a beautiful new nativity display at Sam's this week and the clerk who was wearing a Santa hat wished me "Happy Holidays". I looked her straight in the eye and replied, "Merry Christmas" with the emphasis on Christmas. Her eye twinkled, with a knowing look, and she smiled and said, "Thank you."
I'm sure that she had been warned to not say Merry Christmas. So, now, I'm going to say it to everyone just for spite.
