Since I personally have the freedom to celebrate Christmas anyway I want, it doesn't bother me in the least how a retailer celebrates Christmas. I'm sure the employees of Land's End, celebrate Christmas as they want.

I agree with you but when they put up pictures of Christmas stockings and Christmas trees and rename them "holiday" whatevers, that's just a conscious effort dissassociate things that are uniquely Christmas from the actual holiday, Christmas. Frankly, it's dishonest and disrespectful. It's stupid and I do not support it in the least.

I like, and agree with your approach.

Part of my celebrating Christmas to to hear a "Merry Christmas" from those who want me to buy Christmas gifts at their store.

I don't buy Happy Holiday gifts from anyone.

Any store is free to NOT say 'Merry Christmas'. I respect their right to (not) do so. I will respond by NOT buying Christmas gifts there, because they obviously have none.

I receive, and order from, a catalog from Doctors Foster & Smith. It's for cat products and on their cover it has "Christmas". However, it also states, on the cover, "Holiday items on page 2 and in the center of this catalog". Insane or what?
