So What! Plenty of college students catch zzzzz's when they can. What a Dum story.
Sailors can sleep anywhere.
Rush cuts the applause from the audio clips he uses to save time.
As I usually don't get to hear the speech live, I like the applause left in on the "re-runs".
Local radio left some in - the audience at Annapolis was going wild - this latest Rutters sniping is just one more reason I wish Rush would leave the applause in or at least some of them.
Hey, when I was a naval officer I was always taught that you should never, ever pass up a chance to catch some sleep. One hour of sleep will keep you going for another 4 hours awake. These midshipmen are to be commended for their practice.
At this time of year (right before the end of term) most Mids are running on fumes. I remember classmates keeping each other awake in class to avoid the prof smacking them in the back with an eraser (chalk dust looks really great on your black class uniform, especially right before inspection). And I also remember the one time the President spoke when I was there (I won't reveal which President to avoid dating myself). We had to go to the football stadium hours beforehand for security reasons. I was kicked out of my room at 6AM because it overlooked the field where Marine One was to land; Secret Service types with long cases containing high powered rifles locked themselves in my room after my roommates and I were kicked out. You can bet I tried to catch some Zs waiting for the speech.
It would be news if Reuters could have found someone who was actually awake. These photos are dog bites man, but Reuters has an agenda.
Been there, done that! (Napped, that is!)
By the time their military careers are finished, an hour nap will seem like a 5 minute walk in springtime.
I suppose that it was GWB that made them all tired as well?
Future leaders for the Navy??? Fit right in.

Canada's largest paper, the Globe and Mail, carried the second picture on the front page. Pure media propaganda. Is it any wonder, newspaper sales are down and trust in the MSM gets lower and lower?
