LET'S GET RID OF GUNS THAT STOLE MY SON AWAY (MEGA BARF ALERT!)
The New York Post ^ | November 30, 2005 | KIMBERLY HILL

Posted on 11/30/2005 10:54:29 AM PST by NJ Freeper

November 30, 2005 -- Two years ago, Kimberly Hill lost her 8-year-old son, Daesean, when he was shot and killed by drug dealers battling over turf on her block. Since then, she has grieved for her son but found solace by holding marches against gun violence in her East New York neighborhood and comforting other parents whose children are killed.

Now, one of her son's killers is on trial in Brooklyn Supreme Court. She has attended the trial every day. This week, she said the tragedy of her son's death has only been compounded by news of Officer Dillon Stewart's fatal shooting.

MY son Daesean would have turned 10 this year.

Has she considered the remote possibility that the drug dealers had something to do with her son's death?

Get rid of the drug dealers, not guns.

I mourn her loss...but what she clearly does not understand is that if she is successful, things will get much, much worse. History shows that this is where it will lead.

The worst part is that after her son was killed by the gun, some people saw the gun running away really fast and tried to stop the gun, but the gun whipped out its Metrocard and caught the subway before anyone could catch it.

Some witnesses say they later saw the gun at a McDonald's eating a double cheeseburger.

Apparently it had a bit of pickle stuck between its trigger and the triggerguard.

Did you hear that that spunky NO kid that liberated the school bus and drove those people to Houston got busted the other week for dealing Heroin? Off topic, but I just heard that.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people.

I'm sorry her son was killed. But preventing law abiding citizens from owning firearms, a constitutional right.... will do NOTHING to lower gun crime. Criminals don't even tend to use legally bought guns anyways.

Liberals want to free Tookie Williams, but ban guns. I know Tookie Williams isnt mentioned in the article, it was just the 1st thought that popped in my head.

Well you see you can march against guns because no one will shoot you for it, but if you march against drug dealers you may not survive long.

Now the question to ask is how many times has she turned in a drug dealer from her neighborhood.

What is it with the hollywood types and this tookie, he is a ghastly murderer, but they think he is some kind of saint.
This is why they should be executed within 1 year, 20 years is ridiculous and by that time we forgot what he was in for

Oh, Gawd. Maybe she should start by blaming the actual drug-dealing scum, who would probably get access to some guns no matter HOW strict New York's (or the country's) gun laws were.

And by 14, your darling Daesean would most likely be in prison for dealing drugs or murder, or would be dead by other means.

Now one of Dae Dae's killers is on trial. I come to the trial every day. I don't have bitterness toward those young men who took my son from me. I even know two of them. One of them grew up with me in the neighborhood.

One of the killers? Where are the other punk thugs that need to be off the street???

Lady, I can certainly understand your suffering, but the gun didn't kill you son, the finger that pulled the trigger did.

If he's not going to roll other on the other killers, he's not remorseful and does not deserve your pity.

Ultimately, it's the drug users.

As long as there are users, there will be dealers.
