The media is buzzing about Ramsey Clark going to Iraq to serve on the defense team of Saddam Hussein. Every article called Clark the former US Attorney General and played up his role in the administration of an American President. Reuters called Clark a U.S. civil rights lawyer. The BBC called Clark an outspoken critic of the trial and a left wing activist. The New York Times did make mention of Ramsey Clarks penchant for offering legal advice to toppled foreign leaders. According to the AP, Clark was just a consultant on Milosevics trial.
Ramsey Clark is so much more than a left wing activist and anti-war advocate. Clark is a Saddam apologist who is responsible for an anti-American group masquerading as an anti-war protest organizer.
After Lyndon Johnson left office, Ramsey Clark became the poster boy for the far left. He began supporting anyone that was against America. Clark visited with Qaddafi after the US bombed Libya. He even represented the PLO in a lawsuit filed by the family of murdered American, Leon Klinghoffer.
Clark headed the National Coalition to Stop US Intervention in the Middle East for the World Workers Party a well-known Communist group. Clark went on to represent Milosevic in his war crimes trial. He also befriended Iraqi leaders, including Saddam Hussein. Clark even helped CBS and Dan Rather set up the interview with Saddam that aired prior to the war.
Ramsey Clark is the founder of the International Action Center (IAC) and remains very active with the group. International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) is an offshoot of the IAC. Clark is a coalition sponsor for ANSWER. The headquarters for IAC and ANSWER are located at 38 W 14th St., Room 206 in New York. This is the exact same address as Millions for Mumia, Iraq Sanctions Challenge, Peace for Cuba, US out of Korea Committee, Peoples Video Network and the Coalition to Stop US Intervention in the Middle East.
The official ANSWER website lists their coalition co-signers. The list includes representatives from Womens International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF), World Workers Party, Interreligious Foundation for Community Organization (IFCO), numerous foreign Communist groups, Socialist organizations and more.
A major sponsor of the anti-war protests, ANSWER provided speakers that touted some of ANSWERs pet causes. Other than the war in Iraq and Bush hatred, Free Mumia (the convicted cop killer) was the most popular topic. ANSWERs protest signs usually carried slogans such as vote no war and impeach Bush.
Ramsey Clark was the driving force behind the call for impeachment of President Bush. He wrote up Articles of Impeachment for President Bush, VP Cheney, Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld and Attorney General John Ashcroft. The articles were published one of Clarks website, www.votetoimpeach.org.
Ramsey Clark hangs out with other self-proclaimed icons of the far left crowd. During the Vietnam War protests, Clark appeared with John Kerry and Jane Fonda. Cindy Sheehan has given speeches at protest rallies sponsored by Ramsey Clark and his group. Lynne Stewart, the attorney convicted of assisting terrorist communication, is an ally of Clark.
Most notable, Ramsey Clark and the IAC and ANSWER were endorsers of the War in Iraq Tribunals (WIT) held around the world. The WTI issued a statement at the conclusion of the Tribunal. The WTI recognized the right of the Iraqi people to resist the illegal occupation of their country. The WTI continued, Affirming that the right to resist the occupation is the right to wage a struggle for self-determination, freedom and independence. The WTI declared solidarity with the people of Iraq as they resist the occupation. In other words, the true freedom fighters in Iraq are those fighting against the coalition (AKA the United States).
It is no surprise that the media would fail to mention Ramsey Clarks dark background. That would amount to admitting that Clark joining Saddam Husseins defense team was not a noble quest for a fair trial. It has absolutely nothing to do with maintaining the Constitution and International Laws. It has everything to do with Ramsey Clarks virulent anti-American beliefs. It is a finger in the eye of hard working Americans. It is a slap in the face to every member of the US military active duty and veterans. He calls President Bush a war criminal while supporting Milosevic and Hussein. Ramsey Clark hates America and wants to make sure that the world knows it. Of course, you will never hear that from the media.
I'm sure it won't be long before he starts making claims that the American military is trying to kill him.
I love Ramsey Clark. His idiocy - and our tolerance of it - shows just how great America is. In most countries, he'd have been whacked out long ago. Carry on, Ramsey, you POS.
I knew he was sympathetic to A.N.S.W.E.R., but didn't realize how intimately supportive he was. Doesn't surprise me though. I'll never understand people like Clark. It's all I can do to keep from posting words that would get this post removed from the forum.
I think the pragmatic Iraquis would introduce him to his fellow defense members. The dead ones.
Troll!!! Go Back to DUmmie land!!
Ramsey Clark is the poster boy for the Democratic Party along with Kennedy, Kerry, Reid, that idiot from Vermont, Clinton, etc!
U.S. civil rights lawyer. I read this as "evil rights lawyer"
RE: Ramsey Clark is so much more than a left wing activist and anti-war advocate.
Such as traitor, Communist, bootlicker of every anti Western cause, group or state who ever existed, etc, etc, etc ....
He is a Tool. And you can interpret that any old way you like and I'll agree with you.
Klintoon,Carter,Kofi,Clarke,Commie ...they're all the same.
Try this, from The Philadelphia Daily News, no less. |
Clark is a card carrying Communist, as are many in his circle. You can fill in the blanks.
Clark is a traitor. No doubt about it. The only good thing is that he's really old, and soon he will be worm food and his soul will be rotting in Hell.
