You know what's really funny? Not included in the three House members who voted for the withdrawal bill is Barbara Lee, the lone Representative who voted against the invasion of Afghanistan way back in 2001. I figure that if anyone would have voted for this black-and-white get-out-now resolution, it would have been her.

But nay. Her website is awash with bandwagon "Republican stunt" nonsense.

Murtha's military service is cited so often and his defenders are so shrill that it evidently escapes everybody's attention that the discussion was really about which Democratic politician was best qualified to advocate surrender.

As I noted in a previous post, Murtha became so accustomed to losing in Viet Nam, that he wants to put it all of our fighting forces now! Is it revenge? Is it cowardice? Or, is it both? He is the center of the "Surrender Now" democrats! I have no use for this man, regardless of his military service! He is a coward through and through!

"Their hate for George Bush is so great they don't seem to care about the ramifications of reckless statements."

That's what I find so incomprehensible. George W. Bush doesn't use interns as sperm receptacles, he doesn't have a history of a serial rapist, he doesn't sell out our national secrets to the Chi-Coms for campaign donations and he doesn't sell pardons for gifts to his Presidential library. Perhaps if the President were a complete moral degenerate, he'd be universally loved by the left?

What is disgraceful about forcing politicians to demonstrate the courage of their expressed convictions?<<<

Hmmm..Oh yeah..Never forget the difference between a conservative and a liberal..

A conservative bases his politics on his morals..

A liberal bases his morals on his politics...

Hence the 203-3 vote

The DNC would sell out they're own mothers, not to mention the country, to get back in power.

"The US cannot accomplish anything further in Iraq militarily. It's time to bring the troops home. . . They have become the enemy."

Uh, that's why they took guns with them...The military had a sneakin' hunch that when they bombed the capital of Iraq and killed a lot of terrorists as well as run the Iraqi president out of office, some would view them as the enemy...

John Murtha narrowly won a special election in 1974 and became the first Vietnam veteran to serve in the U.S. House. During his legislative career, Murtha has been a House insider, loyal to the Democratic leadership and a favorite of then-House Speaker Tip O'Neill, D-Mass. In the probe of what became known as the Abscam bribery scandal, Murtha was the only congressman involved in the complex case to emerge without facing criminal charges. He declared he was innocent, saying he had "met with two men who I believed had a substantial line of credit that could provide up to 1,000 jobs for the district. I broke no law. I took no money." A grand jury and the House ethics panel cleared Murtha of any wrongdoing.

The absurdity of watching reporters skeptically grilling four-star generals, chests all but obscured by rows of medals, and then fawning over the tactical assessment advanced by a 73 year-old veteran of a forty-year-old war would, as I noted, be funny, if it weren't so serious.

There ought to be a test that could be administered to all members of Congress to determine if they are playing with 52 cards! In tha case of Murtha, I suspect he is not.....

(The military). . . They have become the enemy."

The enemy of who? That statement, alone, encapsulates the feelings of the democrat liberals towards our military!!! Murtha is a "blame America first" lib and a non-patriot! I cannot tell you how much I hold this "cut and run coward" in disdain!
