Afterall, there are only two Hispanic members of the Senate

I wonder who Governor-elect (shudder) Corzine is going to select to replace himself in teh Senate when he takes office. Some black woman? Some Korean guy? Nope, my guess is it will be a damn honkey.

Hairy Reid used to be pro-life. It's pretty clear that, when the rubber hits the rubber, there are no pro-lifers in the Democratic Party.

32 of the 45 senators in the Democratic caucus, including Harry Reid, are white males. They do not help to diversify the country. They should all resign.

I went bact to the constitution and couldn't find "diversity" anywhere in it.

Just more evidence Freepers in General are a lot more intelligent than some Democrat Senators in Particular.

Yeah, he's one of those pro-lifers who wants the Court to make abortion policy in the nation, and who wants to put judges on those courts who believe in the bogus Constitutional right to abortion on demand.

The best way to get rid of this guy is to increase the GOP majority over the next two cycles. Then maybe he'd retire in 2010.

Mr. Alito WASN*T chosen to "diversity" the court, Mr. Reid. He was chosen because he reflects the philosophy of the current President who happens to be a Republican.

When/if the Democrats EVER occupy the White House again....we*ll leave the "diversification" up to you:-)

"The appointment of Judge Alito largely fails to diversify the court," Reid said How about 'Mathis'

"A picture of Sam Alito is emerging that may explain why the extreme right-wing is popping champagne corks," Reid, D-Nev., said in a Senate speech, referring to a 20-year-old document in which Alito asserted "the Constitution does not protect a right to an abortion."

Doesn't Harry Reid claim to be pro-life?

Democrats weren't complaining about the court's lack of diversity during Earl Warren's tenure.

What it is that diversity-worshippers demand is that the majority be forced to accept

DIVERSITY OF BEHAVIOR(S)!

No way, Jose.

Ghost of Philip Marlowe: Reid proves that liberals only consider something diverse if it is to the Left of center.

See post #28. Basically, he's one of those 'pro-lifers' who obviously thinks such sentiments have no place in public policy. I'm sure people like Ted Kennedy think of themselves as 'personally pro-life' too.

Now let's see. Wasn't Senator Harry ("the sage of Searchlight") Reid the leader of a filibuster to prevent a vote on judicial nominee Miguel Estrada, one of the most able (Hispanic) nominees for the bench? Yep, that was him.

And now he whines about a lack of diversity on the Supreme Court? Remember the reprehensible Rockefeller memo on the strategy of defeating Estrada, because he might become an "unstoppable Hispanic nominee" for the Court? Reid got that memo.

Reid is a wall-to-wall, brass-plated, hypocrite. Did I miss anything?
