POSTED: 10:51 am EST November 14, 2005
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. -- Ronald Meyers called police when he heard suspicious noises outside his home. He ended up in jail after officers saw something suspicious inside the home: an eight-foot tall pot plant and nearly $100,000 of marijuana.

LOL!
Doh!
MEYERS: "Who's paranoid? Did you hear that??"
Prosecuting this man will only make Glaucoma an even greater epidemic..."
What a moron! I wonder if the police would have had the right to enter the house even if he hadn't given permission - if not, he's a double-moron...
I wonder what his DU Screen name is?
Reminds me of a story I heard from a friend of my parents who is a fireman. Around 8 a.m., the fire department got a call reporting flames inside a house. A man had been walking outside and noticed what appeared to be very bright flames engulfing a room on the second floor of his neighbor's house. But when the firemen got there, things didn't add up. One room did indeed appear to be on fire, but there was no smoke and nothing else in the house was burning either. They went inside the house and up to the "burning" room. It turns out every inch of wall and ceiling surface in the room was covered in aluminum foil. The rising sun was hitting the room in such a way that the reflections from the foil looked like flames to people outside. Why was this room turned into a giant foil-reflector box? Turns out the homeowner was growing about 120 marijuana plants in the room. Oops!
Tinfoil hatters, I've heard of.... but tinfoil "roomers"?! That's a new one on me! :-)
The tinfoil hats were debunked by a study at MIT so now they are going for whole rooms and body suits.
No joke:

Back to the thread at head, somehow I can envision the MIT guys doing this ;-). They're the REAL nerds!!! HAHAHAHA!
Note to self:
Do not call the cops when high!!!
more like WTF?TV
Three months ago, I called the city to complain about a dead oak tree (60+ feet tall) in the yard behind me. I was worried it was going to fall on my house.
They cited me for the house needing some painting and my next door neighbor for cleaning up his yard.
Damn tree is still there.
So, when the tree falls on my house, at least the parts of the house still remaining will look nice.
