Thursday, March 24, 2005; Page A03A federal court should first determine whether a crime has been committed in the disclosure of an undercover CIA operative's name before prosecutors are allowed to continue seeking testimony from journalists about their confidential sources, the nation's largest news organizations and journalism groups asserted in a court filing yesterday.
The 40-page brief, filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, argues that there is "ample evidence . . . to doubt that a crime has been committed" in the case, which centers on the question of whether Bush administration officials knowingly revealed the identity of undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame in the summer of 2003. Plame's name was published first by syndicated columnist Robert D. Novak and later by other publications.

A google search on the term "36 news" and "plame" turns up a slew of articles in July as well, revolving on the contents of that brief.
The public's attention span is short, and the public lacks the drive to seek depth of information.
Great post. Thanks.
I am afraid that you are right.
The problem is, that they cuddled the 20% and forgot about the 80% of the rest of the population.
They pretty much shot themselves in the foot.
The same goes for the rest of the European Union.IMO.
To late for them to get a clue...or too late, they've already asked for our help!
French don't know who to surrender to!!! ROFL!!! Good call!
I missed it, but I believe the president is only partially correct when he states this is a war on terror, which it is, but it is more so a war of religious beliefs and a attack on western society in general with only one acceptable ending for the followers of Islam.
I think this is why those who follow Islam and do so peacefully have a hard time standing up against what is happening now with the radicals pushing the agenda.
The "hate Christians" mantra is spewed from EVERY mosque in every country. I don't see them as a "peaceful" bunch, just hoping that we will be complacent enough to allow their infiltration until their numbers are too big.
Mlle. Minnie Mouse in a burqa?
We ALL had Miss Hagedorn at GCHS. Geez, my brother and sister, 12 and 9 years older respectively, even had her. She'd been around forever.
Sometime after I graduated, she left and was subsequently ARRESTED for exhibitionism (remember how she liked to pull down hard on the bodice of her dress) and for (once again) taking off a suit jacket revealing that there was NO blouse underneath!
I laughed myself silly when I heard that she'd been arrested.
Sgt. Bilko style, we had taken bets on how many times she would do the "pull down on the front of the bodice of her dress" thing or "twist her skirt or belt to the front".
Aren't kids awful?
Well, yeah! The French can do both! And kiss their own rears at the same time!
"The French have to decide if they want a country or if they want chaos"
Well said Ben Stein. ;o)
Very well said! The European countries lost their identity by becoming the EU, and now they are losing their souls!
Cowards going after the weak...same in Iraq/Afghanistan. Certainly too scared to face our MARINES!
LOL. France has its own evacuees who do not want to go back. Thanks for that tidbit, Ben Stein.
Has Johnny Depp returned home yet?? BWAHAHAAAA!
