What, no guns?
Yup.
Cereal aisle: Kids cereal on low shelves at kid eye level. Adult cereals up high. It's called marketing and presentation. People are sheep.

Ah... but in China, abortions are, as you say, mandated by the state, but in America, abortions are an "individual's right".
I've still a problem figuring which is worse - an individual's right to choose evil or a government that mandates and imposes it upon the governed.
Hi JJ.
Thanks for the ping.
"Why does the left hate big business but loves big government?"
A couple of reasons: The anti-Walmart deal is mostly driven by a union's corporate campaign. The second is you can get fired by Walmart, but never as a government employee.
I'm sorry, if I lumped you with all the other WalMart/China bashers. I just assumed that since you were posting those thoughts on a WalMart thread, you were just like them...
I don't know how trading with PRC is any different. If there are two countries selling the same product, with similar quality, but one is drastically cheaper, the world will beat a path to that door. We can do business with them, or let everyone else do business with them, and leave us out of all their dealings.
I agree on the potential threa,t posed by the PRC. I also believe that our best fight, is to win the minds and hearts of the people. You can only do that by lifting them up.
Money flows around the world. Do you want the wan to be the standard?
After WW2, we rebuilt the Japanese and German economies. We built new factories for them, while ours decayed. Now, we are paying a price, that is based on our goodness. But, look at those countries today.
Mr. Gorbachev tore down that wall, and the Japanese are among our best friends, and allies, today.
"Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer"- (Many sources attribute the quote to Sun Tzu in The Art of War, but others dispute that.)
They don't me, either! ;-P
Just think how cheap that HP notebook computer would be if you didn't have to pay the Microsoft tax--$60 to $100 cheaper. That is amazing.
What length can you record on one DVD? Can you get at least 4 hours of TV on one?
I want the Mossberg 935 Magnum Flyway for $9.99. It's on the sales flyer, right?
Yes, when we went a few years ago we stationed the kids and ourselves at different spots so that we were ready when they started the sale. All we bought were the sale items.
"What do you use a 2 quart slow cooker for unless you are a single on a diet?"
You use it to make whiskey... heheh..

somehow I knew that you'd be anti-walmart. Maybe it's because they actually turn a profit and have resisted being taken over by organized crime (unions).
You can take any business that has hundreds of stores scattered acrosss America and come up with problems just like those. The fact that it happened at Wal-Mart means absolutely nothing.
Yes, you, too, can take advantage of child and slave labor from foreign markets while cheating your fellow Americans. Shop China-Mart!
