As you know, I contributed $100 of my hard-earned cash to help keep Air America on the air. I think that the survival of Air (Hate) America radio is important to the survival of the rest of talk radio. If Air America fails the left will start clamoring for controls on talk radio because all that will really be left, except for NPR, will be conservatives and libertarians. Anyway ... when I contributed my $100 I was promised an Air America tote bag. Do you think it ever arrived? Of course not! Those people are too busy stealing money from Boys and Girls Clubs to send me my tote bag ... but what the heck. I really didn't expect to see it anyway.
Now ... here's a fun bit. It comes from the Ace of Spades HQ on the Internet. Ladies and Gentlemen ... The Top Ten Things People Are More Likely to Say Than "Did You Hear What Al Franken Said Yesterday?"
10. "You know, in terms of pure aesthetics, I actually prefer the spork."
9. "Yo, Playah-- that Victorian ascot is the shizznat, Dog!"
8. "I know you're on the pill, but can't I wear a condom just this once? Why must it always be about your dirty needs?"
7. "It's this simple: if I can't put the vision I want on the screen, I'm not making this movie. And the vision I want is David Hasselhof."
6. "My scent? It's Nadler, the only perfume endorsed by 300-pound liberal Congressman Jerry Nadler-- a delicate yet sultry blend of cinnamon, pheremones and pork-chops."
5. "Topless dancers?!! The sign outside specifically promised me Stopless dancers. Now you instruct your staff to get off their break and put on some proper clothing or there are going to be consequences, my good man."
4. "When I move, I slice like a freaking hammer."
3. "There's something magical about riding the bus."
2. "Would I like to take a few minutes to discuss switching over to AT&T's new Friends and Family service? Would I! Would I ever!!!"
...and the Number One Thing People Are More Likely to Say Than "Did you Hear What Al Franken Said Yesterday?"...
1. "Who the hell is Al Franken?"
The Flight of the Air America
"I contributed $100 of my hard-earned cash to help keep Air America on the air."
Contributions to the enemy. I would say that the liberal agenda gets sufficient air time from regular MSM outlets to need the Air America outlet too. Let Air America crash and burn, I will bring the marshmellows.
Leave it to Neil. . .LOL.
I read his other article about dependence on government for these hurricanes. He is right, more and more we are being told to depend on the government than being responsible for ourselves. We are encouraged to be dependent on the nanny state rather than protect ourselves through insurance and savings. I suspect this is done in order to pander our votes!
Ouch! Now that is no way to treat a Sukhoi.
If you gave $100 of your "hard earned " money to the looney left you derserved to be stiffed
Don't know if I will keep it for long... but thanks for the new tagline...
Don't follow the logic of contributing $100 to a cause one despises. You give Air America money so that it will remain viable so that crazed, airtime starved liberals won't mount a regulatory attack against conservative radio programs and stations. Maybe you should rethink that whole A plus B equals C thing.
ROFL!!!!!!!
Post of the day
Do you doubt that if AA goes dark that there will be a renewed and more intense push by liberals in congress to bring back the "fairness doctrine" or some other form of it to shut down Limbaugh, Hannity, Boortz, Liddy, Ingram, and 100's of other conservative talkers?
Much better to send them a check for 5 cents and demand a receipt - it's a net loss for them.
All that will be left? Gimme a break. NPR is 24/7 and in every radio market in the United States. And they've got PBS - and every newspaper but one. No tears for Air (hate) America...
FYI...
I actually know the pilot that was in that crash.
Really? Did he survive?
Yes.
He actually just got his medical back and has continued to fly.
It was touch and go there for a while - but he's a toughie!
