* MI6/SAS team joins US Special Forces sifting through Balakot
PESHAWAR: An MI6/SAS team has joined US Special Forces in earthquake-devastated Balakot to search for Osama Bin Laden among thousands of victims still buried, British newspaper the Sunday Express reports.
US President George W Bush approved a full-scale surveillance operation along the remote Afghan-Pakistan border where extremists have training camps. The team, flown in from a high-security base in Afghanistan, is equipped with imagery and eavesdropping technology, high-tech weapons systems and MI6 linguists to try to locate the most wanted “terrorist” in the world.
Bin Laden has a $20 million bounty on his head. Security officers in London and Washington are anxious not to discuss whether Bin Laden is dead or has escaped the devastation from the 7.6-magnitude earthquake. But days before it struck, an American satellite had spotted an Al Qaeda training camp in a remote area and obtained high-resolution close-ups.
A senior intelligence officer in Washington told the Sunday Express: “One of those photos bore a remarkable resemblance to Bin Laden. His face looked thinner, which is in keeping with our reports that his kidney condition has worsened.”
In recent weeks, both MI6 and the CIA have established that Bin Laden has received a portable kidney dialysis machine from China but it requires electricity to power it. Drones, unmanned aircraft that US Special Forces launched from Afghanistan last week, have reported that the area along the border has lost all power supplies. President Bush, who has said he wants Bin Laden ‘dead or alive’, is closely monitoring the operation.

Last time I remember the bounty on OBL was $25 million. Now it's only $ 20 mil. Have we already captured 20% of him or has $ 5 mil simply disappeared?

for all the times they have said that a storm or an earthquake was gods vengeance on the infidels... wouldn't there be some extremely tasty irony if he had died in this quake?

Bush/Halliburton are even more powerful than I thought. First, hurricanes to move the black people out of New Orleans, now earthquakes to finally get rid of Bin Laden.
This would be such a wonderful outcome.
The Imams have been telling all the little Johnny Jihads that Allah has been protecting the great Osama. Now if Osama dies due to a natural event, well, that might cause a few of the students to have second thoughts about what Allah wants.
The Imams will explain it away, of course, but any doubt that is created is a good thing.

I will really be suspicious if OBL's DNA is found at this time and his death is attributed to the earthquake.
As you guys know, I've said all along that I thought his hideout was bombed and he was killed some time back. I think it possible that all of the videos/audios of him are being made by doubles. This last one didn't even have OBL's same body shape.
My gut feeling is that if OBL were alive, he'd be appearing on TV daily, giving encouragement to all of his devoted followers.
Well, when that general spoke of AQ in Iraq being degraded 80%, I see that it applies here too. OBL must have been degraded by 20% and the bounty was prorated accordingly.

...and we didn't bomb the hell out of that training camp right away because....

Because it was in Pakistan and we're not allowed to fly over the border and bomb anything. We can, however, go in to "help" with earthquake relief.
