Cindy Sheehan Moves to Berkeley, Joins Call for National Guard Return
Berkeley Planet ^ | Oct. 18, 2005 | RICHARD BRENNEMAN

One of the country’s most famous anti-war activists is now one of Berkeley’s newest residents. Cindy Sheehan, who gained the world’s attention with her protest outside President George W. Bush’s ranch in Crawford, Texas, has moved into a Berkeley apartment following her separation from her husband.

“I needed a place to stay, and some friends got me an apartment,” she said.

Not that Berkeley will see much of the mother who lost her son Casey in the Iraq war in April 2004.

“I spend most of my time traveling, and I’m home maybe seven to 10 days a month,” she said following a Friday press conference in the San Francisco office of Assemblymember Mark Leno. “I spend a lot of time in Southern California, and tomorrow I’ll be in New York City.”

Sheehan offered bitter criticism of the Bush administration, which she described as arrogant.

“They think that because they now control all three branches of government, they can do whatever they want,” she said. “They have imposed a virtual dictatorship for the past five years. It is very ironic that George Bush says he’s spreading freedom in Iraq when he’s destroying it here at home.”?

In case anyone was wondering whatever happened to Cindy.

Didn't some antiwar group actually hired her at probably considerable salary for her to go on speaking tours and spread her anti-US hate agenda?

Life is hard for a professional footnote.

Just ask Michael Dukakis. Gerry Ferraro. Gary Hart.

You get the idea.

No one will raise an eyebrow as she saunters about with her
new genre of black boyfriends either . Absolutely anything , except patriotism and support for the WoT , goes in this
perfidious place....

"Whaaaa, he wouldn't meet with me a 2nd time so I could chew him up and spit him out". What a pathetic cry baby. Why doesn't this heading get pulled down? She is nothing but a Bush hating, American hating COMMIE.

Not "anti-US."

Anti-freedom. Sheehan and her ilk are opposed to the very concept of human freedom and liberty. Pure and simple.

They are also anti-liberals (using the classical definition of "liberal" before it was corrupted by statists). Just watch a modern "liberal" melt down when you call them on THAT.

What's the difference between Sheehan and a doughnut hole?

There's less air in the doughnut hole.

She could care less about her other kids, IMO. She'd much rather bask in her new role as Media Whore.

“They think that because they now control all three branches of government, they can do whatever they want,” she said. “They have imposed a virtual dictatorship for the past five years."

Yet somehow they can't reform the tax code, cut spending, pass supreme court rulings that respect the constitution, protect the southern border, search Arab males at airports, stop funding the Palestinian terror machine...

Some dictatorship.

Cindy announced she'd be spending Thanksgiving in Crawford instead of home with her daughter who is engaged in some very self-destructive behavior.

At one of the radical left websites, wanting to maximize the damage to Bush, the interviewer asked about how Casey's death affected his siblings. Cindy laid out the problems each was having, especially the daughter's needs, and then Cindy announced that because of her "work" and her "pain" she couldn't "be there" for her kids.

Remember the ear to ear agony on Cindy's face as she was arrested and carried to that police van?

She can't be there for her kids but she can jet off around the country to wedge her nose up Jessie Jackson's butt. (BTW Cindy, has anybody mentioned that all this traveling burns up more foreign oil that we have to spill more blood for? Hmm?)

And if her daughter goes off the deep end and kills herself, well, it'll be Bush's fault!

Ohhhh, that is going to go over so well with the judge hearing your husband's divorce petition, you flippin' moron. They're better off with him, than mommy moonbat.

Something tells me that her apartment is far away, and not enough room for her kids to come visit.

I wonder if Casey's grave is still without his headstone? I suppose she is just too busy to show this last bit of respect to her son.
