The man risked his life to save these passengers. He is not repsonsible for the death of those poor people, imo.
According to a local station here in Dallas, that's all Robles did. He never went on the bus to assist in getting people off, as first reports indicated. Instead, passersby got anybody off who got off the bus.
This lack of action by Robles forms the basis for 23 charges against him.
ridiculous charges to cover alot of a**es in this one. they just went after the lowest guy in the pecking order and want to jail him for life over this accident.
Is there some law requiring the driver to go back on the bus? If not, how can he be charged based upon him not going back???
Gotta be more to this.
The charges against Juan Robles Gutierrez, a 37-year-old Mexican national, were forwarded to District Attorney Bill Hill, Sgt. Don Peritz said. . . Robles was taken into federal custody on an immigration violation five days after the Sept. 23 explosion near Dallas.
Maybe we can sue/jail the federal officials who didn't do their jobs and allowed this alleged criminal to operate here. Nah, laws are for bus drivers, not bosses.
Just doing the jobs . . . well . . .you know.
