Santa Cruz: Land of the Bliss Ninnies.
To: EggsAckley
From the article: The strike has confused a lot of residents, largely because the dispute isn't over wages. The bus drivers are already among the highest-paid in the country. The dispute is mainly over the transit district's desire to shed what it considers onerous work rules. The district particularly objects to allowing unpaid ``general leave'' of up to a month per year.

The only reason Santa Cruz is so high and mighty is because of all the great piles of cash that flow into the place from all those commuters driving 17 everyday to work their capitalist jobs in Silicon Valley.
