From the article: The strike has confused a lot of residents, largely because the dispute isn't over wages. The bus drivers are already among the highest-paid in the country. The dispute is mainly over the transit district's desire to shed what it considers onerous work rules. The district particularly objects to allowing unpaid ``general leave'' of up to a month per year.

Someone should tell this idiot that in a capitalist medium, those drivers would have been fired, replaced, and the crisis would be over.
