Knocking off the guy who got your unmarried daughter pregnant has roots in American tradition, too. The stabbing business is rather outre', but with Britain's gun laws ...

We really should honor and respect the culture and religion of these peace loving people. Who are we to say that the father was not simply practicing the dictates of the peace loving Islamic religion, as required by Allah.

just for those three who won't get it: /sarcasm

But they wanted to get married,
Which,
at least accordin' to Southern Shotgun Wedding Tradition,
is the main objective.

The religion of peace, love, and charitable sale of one's female relatives to the highest bidder.

Under Sharia, this killing was not a crime. The crime was the daughter not accepting the master to whom she was sold.

To put it in legal terms, the father's property rights in his daughter are superior to any right she may have to life (let alone to freedom of association).

This is the bare face of the mohammedan faith. This is the faith that they will have us all accept -- or kill us for resisting.

Any questions as to why we are at war?

Doesn't work: the boy was killed in this incident, not the girl.

Only if he refused to marry her.

This guy wanted to marry the girl and was of the same religion.

I'll bet the reason why he is dead is because he is a Shi'ite and the girl's family Sunni.

The story is written as if the daughter was murdered, but read it more closely - it is the daughter's "fiance" who was stabbed to death. He was an Iranian guy who had a relationship with a Bangaleshi woman.

There are a couple of odd points to this story.

It is repeatedly stated that the couple wanted to marry. So - why didn't they marry? Also, the pregnant woman had returned home to live with her family again, and then her boyfriend was murdered by them. I suspect a revenge killing, I wonder if she was in on it, and I am sure that the Iranian boyfriend had no intention of ever marrying this girl.

I do hope your grasp of tax law is greater than your understanding of historic American social patterns.

While fathers might (rarely, very rarely) shoot the father of his daughter's bastard-to-be , it was generally an act of momentary passion.

In America, because of it's Judeo-Christian derivation, not to mention American pragmatism, having a husband for your daughter and a father for the child was better than an unmarried daughter with a bastard AND a father in jail.
Shotgun marriages - yes. But first degree murder, hired out to boot - was never the American way.

At a time when the lamestream media, the President, etc. are all denying the brutality, violence, and perversion which are an integral part of Islam, sometimes it is a bit hard to remember that sometimes some things really are both alien to, and antithetical to, how we in America have always lived.

And all the lies from media, officials, and CAIR won't make Islam a bit more compatible with the premises of America.

Only major changes in the Muslim faith/culture will accomplish that.

Don't hold your breath waiting.

"The dislike of the relationship is the motive for the attack on Mr Ghorbani-Zarin," said Julian Baughan, prosecuting. "The relationship with the girl brought shame and dishonour on the family. That drove the accused, led by the head of the family, to murder Mr Ghorbani-Zarin to vindicate the family's honour."
