Let me state this plainly, as I do in my new updated, paperback edition of . . . . [vomit]

Farah is a wack job.
He was hosting for Lori Roth last week and he sounded like a real kook.
The type of person he wanted nominated was an activist not an originist.
He hates Bush with a Passion and every other sentence he said some wacko stuff that even those right of Rush would wince at !
To: goldstategop
The confirmation of that fact came last week when former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay explained there was absolutely no place to cut the bloated federal budget. He said Republicans had done such a good job reining in government spending over the last decade, there was no fat left. see, now there is a real reason to indict DeLay.

Well, we haven't been likened to Pat Buchanan yet. That's progress in my book.
They just don't get it, and what is worse, now they're using variations on relativism to defend some of this stuff.
"Well, the other party is worse" is a terrible argument to make. It is all but an admission that you cannot do any better.
DUH! But that doesn't excuse the behavior. And who said all of us who criticize the GOP on one or two points are all going to jump ship. Farah was never truly part of the Conservative Movement, folks. He usually calls himself a Libertarian.

She'll vote with Thomas and Scalia. The more I hear about Miers, the more I wonder if in the end it won't be the liberals who are gnashing their teeth.

She's a Social Conservative, the rest will take care of itself. If the ACLJ endorses her, she's Conservative.

"But, at this point in history, Americans are less free than we were under the Crown of England."Farah is such a crackerjack Whitey racist.
WHO, just WHO was more free in 1775 than today in 2005, and what color was their skin?
Oh that pisses me off...
Farah is soooooo clueless.

Farah is a joke, just like Buchanan. In his mind the Miers nomination shouldn't matter what with 40 mukes going off in the US during Ramadan, or so he predicts....we will have other things to moan about.....
What a nutcase!!!!

After a full page of handwringing and whining, he concludes:
"Let's not wring our hands over the latest Supreme Court nomination. Let's not whine about spending by the Republican Congress and president...."
All this time I thought we were supposed to be the adults. I'm disappointed. I wanted JRB and took a lot of action to try to make it so. It didn't go my way. But good grief, I refuse to join the ranks of those acting like Bush just nominated Hillary Clinton for the SCOTUS. Buck up and quit whining

Bush can do no wrong, huh? Even when he appoints a third stringer to the Supreme Court and hasn't vetoed one spending bill in the past five years? We really have lowered our standards. If a Democrats did the same thing, people would be roused to fury. But hey, a Republican is doing it so we can be complacent in the relentless growth of government and the continued erosion of our God-given freedoms.

Indeed and yet Reid has already boxed himself in...lol. How can he possibly vote no with a straight face? For once, divide and conquer, might swing our way. Reid's proclamation caught his party members flatfooted and ours too.

We really have lowered our standards. No .. and I don't disagree that spending is out of control
But good grief .. I'm not going to just throw the party over board
Though I will help in getting rid of a number of RINO's in the party

Sad. We actually have to wait and see if this will benefit the Democrats or Republicans. Yep ... that's the problem I have with the pick.
After Souter, O'Conner, etc., Republican conservatives desperately wanted a known quantity ... not just known to Bush, but known in the public record.
All the same, my all-is-lost feeling of this morning has brightened some as I have learned more about Miss Miers.
