Opposing lawyers share thoughts on Schiavo case
Palm Beach Daily News ^ | October 1, 2005 | Michele Dargan

Posted on 10/01/2005 6:32:54 AM PDT by topher

The only issue that David Gibbs can ever remember Jesse Jackson and Rush Limbaugh agreeing on was the fact that Terri Schiavo should remain alive.

...

Gibbs called removing Schiavo's feeding tube "barbaric and uncivilized." Florida law does not allow the starvation of animals and the constitution does not allow the starvation of convicted murderers, he said.

...

Felos said faith-based organizations, religious leaders, priests and rabbis distorted the facts in the Schiavo case.

Schiavo Implant Doctor Reprimanded For Misconduct

by June Maxam EXCERPT: When Dr. Yoshio Hosobuchi of the University of California at San Francisco performed an experimental procedure in December, 1990, to implant platinum electrodes into the brain of Terri Schiavo as a "brain stimulator", he was a licensed physician.

Father Pavone has a great sense of humor too, in spite of the heavy work he's engaged in. If he wasn't a priest, he could give Jay Leno and Letterman a run for their money. Seriously, Pavone is a natural.

Two hundred suspicious deaths in the Gulf Coast and I thought that this was all over, just about one person... ya da ya da ya da.

After Terri was martyred, did that give medical and nursing home people the license to kill? Did they feel freer to play god the way judges like Judge Greer does? www.judgegeorgegreer.com (dirty on the whole gang).

HINO was not by law allowed to take Terri across state lines. California crossed many state lines. There are Schiavo's in California if my recollection is correct. This conspiracy against Terri runs deep.

FEMA is too little to give off any warmth but that's not to say she doesn't have lots of energy. She's nuclear. See pets in costume at: www.conservative-spirit.org. Just click on the thumbnail sketches.

The condo associations and landlords in S. Florida, apparently many of them, had no plan. I'd hate to be a senior in a high rise with no way out except long flights of stairs. As for the healthy people, there's no reason they didn't get their own supplies pre-Wilma including gas. There was no gas shortage prior to Wilma.

Hopefully, it won't rain because some folks who live in high rises have no windows or roof and are hoping the rain holds off.

Jeb is from South Florida. As governor, why wasn't he aware that his part of the state was not in sync with the rest of us who prepare every single time?

Have a nice Sunday. FV

BAY NEWS 9 ALERT: Jeb Bush is going to be on Bay News 9 TV in an exclusive interview by Al Reuchel and Adam Smith from the St. Pete Slimes. I want to see if Jeb is still burnt out from having the toughest job in the country. He didn't do himself any favors with Pinellas and U.S. constituents back in springtime.

It may be on the internet later on or possibly broadcast in real time.

www.baynews9.com. STARTS AT 11:00 AM EST.

WILMA: No gas shortage in S. Florida either. There was a shortage of electricity to run the gas pumps. Gas is now running $2.41 a gal at some Tampa Bay stations.

There are 36 listings in the White Pages of Schiavo in California.

HINO and the law are good friends. Somehow it always turns it eyes away when he wishes it.

Apparently, it doesn't matter to the authorities how many laws Michael broke, but it matters to me.

"Schiavo Implant Doctor Reprimanded For Misconduct "

That's probably as far as it will go...Now if he had been closer to the judge, he could have hid under his coat tails and still had a completely clean record.

Thanks for the ping. That is an excellent article. There are some good replies there too. Father Pavone is such a fine man. He tells it like it is, with nothing but love in his heart.

No windows or roof? I hope the rain holds off. How come people haven't been evicted from the damaged high rises?

I wouldn't hold Jeb responsible for hurricane damage. Florida is much more prepared than Louisiana apparently was. I would think that elderly and disabled residents would be housed on the lower floors, and not up high. That's idiotic.

We're all sitting around waiting for a big earthquake out here. There have been quite a few small ones in the last couple of months. Sometimes, you just can't be totally prepared in the event of a natural disaster. The best thing to do is be neighborly, and check on people next door, etc.

Hope you had a nice Sunday : )

$2.41? Must be nice. It's $2.87 here. At least the price dropped. They really need to look into the pumping problem, though. There should be a back up system, and I'm going to try and keep my tank at least half full.

The information gleaned will purportedly guide the development of the countywide strategic plan known as Vision Pinellas that seeks to improve the quality of life in Pinellas County.

Thanks, 8mm -
Why do I already not trust their eventual results?
