Ever tried to leash a cat? We have a leash law for cats here, absolutely nuts.

The only way to never let a cat outside is to declaw it, never let it have fresh air or real sunshine, to me that is horrible.

Let cats do what cats do, bring us live mice in bed, dead birds to the kitchen, lizards to the bathroom, and tons of love and affection, when it suits them.

You are not alone. I do not want my pet/pets wandering freely. If I had a dog it would have to stay in my yard, even if I lived in a rural area. A cat is called a housecat unless it is a barn cat where it does earn it's keep.
