They broke for lunch. I'm watching using the live feed linked on the beginning of this thread. Disgusted that foxnews, CNN and MSNBC decided to show other programming. As for CourtTV, their commercials last longer than the hearing.

In my experience (limited), decisions by other state courts are brought up mostly when there are no closely relevant decisions in the state the court's in. They don't have real precedent authority, but will be taken seriously.

Yes, that reply about foreign law was terrific! John Roberts is just we need as Chief Justice. I suggest that the President nominate Janice Rogers Brown to replace O'Cononor, and soon.

Yes Blair is great, but this man seems to have an edge on him, imo. He is cooler than cool, and he is brilliant at the same time............ and he has that twinkle in his eyes that is totally disarming, and I'm a male.

;-)

Roberts has NO notes - they should have said since the nominee has no notes, no one else can have them either! HA! Would have loved to see the dems try to even sputter out a question that wasn't from a DNC talking point memo!

Now Leahy and Kennedy are on CSPAN saying they are two of the few people who hasn't made up their minds about Roberts yet.

And they are asking from some MORE papers. What's that about?

Leahy and Kennedy won't comment on how they will vote

####Biden is making such a fool of himself. I'm going to venture a wild guess and say that Joe Biden will never be President of the United States.#####

LMAO! Something about the way you phrased that made me laugh out loud! Biden is such a putz.

This from NRO's the Corner

IT'S OVER [John Podhoretz]
Dems aren't showing for the Roberts hearings because they know it's a foregone conclusion and they know they can't break him and besides, they all already spoke for about 15 hours each. Now it's basically just an endurance test for Roberts -- you know, "Hey, he's stayed mostly expressionless for 48 hours, setting a new land-speed record!"

They call it pizza nowadays?

Joey Buttafuoco said he was only sharing pizza with Amy.

Eating pizza with young women is all the rage with aging Lotharios.
