Just curious.
When an accusation is made in Great Britain, is the accuser expected to prove his claims, or is it simply accepted as fact?
I ask you because the accuser appears to be one of your leftists.
I knew it was a mistake for Bush to ask Clinton to help "raise" support for the Katrina victims.
Take on e look at the chief of police and then tell me that a police department long known for corruption and incompetence couldn't have done it. NO was and is a swill hole.
I'll never get the coffee outta my keyboard. LOL
I was actually asking Madivan, I just forgot to remove your name. Sorry.
ouch!
Isn't this a NO tradition even in the best of times? Females expose themselves and get beads in return?
"Hard to believe the suave and sophisticated UK is that hung up on mammaries. A lady exposing her breasts in public here in these backwater colonies, is hardly noticed anymore, except when some shameless huzzy, grossly shoves a nipple into her hungry baby's mouth."
Oh, don't get me started.
I could not have a lower opinion of the PRESS, from the United States right up to Fleet Street.
Tourists from around the world have reported similar stories. I doubt they all got together and decided to make up the same lies. These stories are in many foreign newspapers.
"Isn't this a NO tradition even in the best of times? Females expose themselves and get beads in return?"
That's what I was thinking. Doesn't surprise me at all.
Heh.
Yep, given the other exaggerations coming out of New Orleans, I am very skeptical of this one. Who goes to the trouble of volunteering to rescue folks, if they are just wanting to look at naked breasts? I'm sure they can find that on their own computer.
It doesn't add up. Use a little critical judgment. Read several previous posts as to why. I agree it stinks of Jayson Blair journalism.
Sounds more like British slang than southern US
I could see them taking a bribe for a ride, but seeing something you can see any weekend on Bourbon Street...?
Or "Katrina does New Orleans."
Good point. This is the first I have read of such acts. Odd that the perpetrators were able to pick out the foreign tourists and leave the American tourist alone. Surely, if this happened to an American tourist, the stories would be in American newspapers as well.
why is this unbelievable?? First- he does not say who the "rescurers" were (people in a boat, sean penn, etc)..
Considering the looting, raping, dessetion by police, I think this very possible...
