Blacks fault lack of local leadership

Some in the black community are beginning to question what happened to the black leadership during the Hurricane Katrina disaster, especially in the city of New Orleans.

While a few black leaders, including the Rev. Jesse Jackson, the Rev. Al Sharpton and the Congressional Black Caucus, have singled out the president for blame, others say Mayor C. Ray Nagin, who is black, is responsible for the dismal response to the flooding that stranded thousands in the city's poorest sections.

I think that number is too high. That would mean that 100,000 people could be evacuated in one trip. The estimates I've seen was that there were 200-400 buses that were drowned.

There is about 1,600 school buses in Miam-Dade County, would it not be realistic to think there would at least be a fleet of 1,000 in Nawlings plus the city transit bus system!??!

Except that someone might try to totally discredit the story by pointing out a number of buses that is several times higher than the real total. You know how the MSM can blow up one point all out of proportion in order to deflect attention to the real story. The Washington Times should have gotten the real number from the school district. With the number of buses they had, a few round trips to other cities would have gotten everone out if the evacuation orders had been given 48 hours ahead of land fall.
