Letters to the Editor - Walter Reed 'Vigils' ( Code Pink's Gael Murphy on Wash. Times Editorial)
The Washington Times ^ | Sunday, September 4, 2005 | Gael Murphy

Walter Reed 'vigils'

Your description of CodePink: Women for Peace's activities outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center is wrong ("Abusing wounded heroes," Editorial, Wednesday). We do not hold anti-war demonstrations outside Walter Reed; we hold weekly vigils that draw attention to the plight of soldiers and call for more support for veterans. We believe the vigils have helped achieve positive results for injured soldiers, such as greater Veterans Affairs funding and a rollback of attempts to make soldiers pay for their own meals and phone calls.

We often receive encouragement for the vigil from wounded soldiers, their families and Walter Reed staff, and we are joined at the vigil by members of Veterans for Peace and Military Families Speak Out. Although some people occasionally show up with signs that don't reflect the respectful tone of the vigil, most of the people who participate hold signs with slogans such as "Up VA Benefits," "Real Support Means Better Benefits" and "Fund the Wounded, Not the War."

It's true that CodePink's position is that the troops should come home from Iraq now, but we also want to ensure that they're well cared for when they return.

         GAEL MURPHY
    Co-founder
    CodePink: Women for Peace

Gael Murphy and Code Pink have been stung by the exposure of their ghoulish protests outside Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

They know the American people find this highly offensive, so they resort to telling lies and half-truths in an effort to hide their purpose--which is to weaken the morale of soldiers, their families and the public in order to bring about the defeat of the United States in the war on terrorists.

Add to that during the CindyShee**** gathering it was posted on FR (with the links for double checking of course) that GAEL MURPHY is a big wig in the CPUSA.

Big DC pingaroo!

Gael Murphy is very dizzy this morning after so much spinning of her story about their blood dance at WRAMC.

I heard this twit on the radio last week answering these charges.

She is two steps removed from reality; something that gives her ultimate leadership quality for those pathetic souls with nothing but hatred of the hand that feeds; and the time to follow along anywhere for the party.

These leftists remind me of the chimps at the zoo who throw poop.

Rather than repeat the graphics-heavy documentation already performed, let me reference you here: Code Pink's "peaceful" Signs at Walter Reed-Heavy graphics

It's true that CodePink's position is that the troops should come home from Iraq now, but we also want to ensure that they're well cared for when they return.

These vigils never occured before the iraq war. Why? Because code pink was never interested in the welfare of soldiers or veterans. Their only interest is using them as props for the anti Bush crusade. Using our wounded as props for their insanity is exploitation at its worst.

Sorry to DC chapter that I can't be more supportive. You guys have done great with the counter protests.

Break out the feed from the Digital Cameras, tgslTakoma. Whistle up Grandasman's July and August photos from his long distance cameras.

Make many, many posts including the "Maimed for a Lie" and "Enlist in Halliburton and Die" placards held by the Pink-Os from past Friday night tete-a-tetes.

Forward thos posts and photos to the Washington Time's Editor. I'm sure Wes Pruden could make a superb Code Pink slamming rebuttal with them.

Jack.

Code Pink is just another word for an America hating, Bush despising, communist orgainzation. Nothing more. And ghoulish is a good word. I saw some moonbats here in STL yesterday with the tombstones of dead US Soldiers and Iraqi citizens written on them. We wondered where they were getting the names..

The true face of liberalism: exploit the pain and suffering of others to promote their own personal political liberal agenda.

At minimum, Code Pink disrespects the noble cause for which these soldiers were injured. Their actions embolden the the resolve of an enemy who routinely kills and maims not just soldiers, but civilian men, women, children. Is this not evil?

Code Pink has chosen language and actions designed to foster mental and emotional anguish against the wounded and their families during their time of recovery and cause them to question the actions of their government on their behalf. These are the actions of, not merely conscientious objecting protesters, but traitors helping an enemy to commit further evil against us.

That Code Pink has chosen to protest the wounded, those unable to fight them reveals them as the cowards they are. It's as though killing the unborn innocent children isn't enough, they have to find new ways to go even lower and do more damage.

No amount of shame, scorn or disgust heaped upon Code Pink will ever be too much...but it's a good start.

We all do what we can when we can.

We know that Code Pink's WRAMC protest is laughable in their feigned concern for our troops. This is a group that delivered more than $600,000 in cash and aid to the "other side" in Fallujah and has openly endorsed Al Qaeda in Iraq.

The left is never short of audacity. We should never be short of the resolve to face them down.

Indeed we do!

Gael Murphy can spin from now 'til doomsday, and she won't be able to spin away all the photos, videos, and sound files that we have collected, that document their psychological war on our wounded soldiers, since they began their little "peace vigil."

I have gone back through my photos and see their first use of the "Maimed for a Lie" sign on June 10th. Kevin McCarron liked it so much, that he held onto that sign for the entire "vigil" on June 17th. Also, FYI, Kevin McCarron has been involved with the Code Pink/VFP blood dance at WRAMC since the beginning, when he was quoted in the Stars and Stripes article.

Murphy has tried to spin that outside infiltrators have brought distasteful signs. Wrong again, Gael. On June 10th, as my photos show, that particular sign was held by one of the "regulars" - the gal that arrives with the person who we have dubbed Ponytail Guy.

And while we're on the subject of infiltrators, on the first Friday that we countered them, Gael Murphy had a few folks on her side who made signs (while on the Code Pink side of the street) and then came over to our side, to try and cause trouble. Yes, Gael, I have photos. You screwed up yet again.

Gael lies.

P.S. Gael:

When Code Pink co-sponsored the "Dover to DC March," your marchers did carry black wreaths, and coffins up to the front of WRAMC. I have photos of that little blood dance on March 15, 2004 as well. You and your comrades are despicable.

Oh, please. I doubt they changed a damn thing because of you surrender monkeys.

That's one way of interpreting obscene gestures, I suppose.
