Range and payloads,

To deliver enough for everyone you have to have flown in, most of the helos on site aren't made to deliver these supplies and those helos that can are on the way via ship with all sorts of supplies. Once they get with in range they can deliver payloads.

The longer a helo has to fly the lighter the load it can carry, simple math.

Thanks. I certainly don't want to be guilty of armchair quarterbacking.

Thank you for the info on helocopters and payloads etc. I am as frustrated as the next person that people are dying, and perhaps when it's over it will be time to really get down to who should have done what when. However people seem to think it's a simple matter to get food and water in, and if it were, it would be there now.
