I really don't understand why people think it's very easy to get supplies in, but no one will do it. If they aren't doing it, I suspect it's because it's not doable at the moment. I don't think the *powers that be* are all just sitting back letting people starve/dehydrate/die because they're really not interested in helping.

Ever heard of the Berlin Airlift in June 1948?

In one day (22 June 1948), the USAFE delivered 156 tons of supplies in 64 sorties.

The USA resupplied an entire city and evacuated residents thousands of miles away, why not here in the USA?

Flights - 189,963
Total Cargo Lifted in Tons - 1,783,573
Food in Tons - 296,319
Coal in Tons - 1,421,119
Supplies in Tons - 66,135
Passengers airlifted out - 37,486

They are sitting back and letting people die. This is exactly what they are doing. If news people can get in so can rescuers with food and water. I feel so sorry for these poor people. I am sorry if I was President Bush, I would send in troops....Blanco be damned.
