Chavez, of all people, has offered help. Saw it on FoxNews.com. Wow. But you're right.

It is commentary from folks like Neil Cavuto that show what a fragment society the world is today.
I agree we are expected as a country to open our wallet for every natural disaster around the world, and we almost always do even when it affects countries we are not always friendly with, but when it comes to disasters here we do not see it in return..
Is it time to cut the rest of the world off from our generousity? I don't think that is the answer, but I do think that if we are serious about working with an international group like the UN there needs to be signs of assistance and acts beyond the token donation or token group of rescue workers when we are backed against the walls in sistuations like this.

I heard that Japan has offered help. Not sure on the details.

Well since we caused the hurricane to begin with, and Bush wasted his time in office by not shoring up New Orleans and instead took vacations, obviously we got what we deserved.

Folks at the UN are too busy figuring out how much their Saddam oil futures are worth now with the gulf oil production shut down.

My prayers and thoughts go out to all the victims of the natural disaster. Our country will pull together to help the people of the South. We came through 9/11. We will come through this. The very worst always brings out the best in the American people and it will again. America will shake this off and the Gulf Coast will rise again, far stronger, more greater. Even a hurricane's devastation can't break the American spirit. This is the greatest country in the world and it will stand behind its citizens in their hour of need. God Bless America!

Didn't you hear?!!
There are reports out of Mexico that President of Mexico Vicente Fox will be sending help to the victims of hurricane Katrina.
He said a additional 500,000 illegals will be crossing the border this week.

The second thought that crossed my mind today after seeing the devastation wrought on New Orleans and southern Mississippi was which nations will offer assistance.

You're wrong...
We heard from the UN today....oh, my mistake...they were wanting us to answer for some discrimination case about a mexican lady or something...
My mistake...carry on....

I was thinking the same thing. We have helped our avowed enemies (nations such as Cuba and Iran) when they have faced natural disasters.

New Orleans is under water. Mississippi is a disaster. Scores are dead. Homes are destroyed. Businesses are shut down.
Expecting Cindy in the ditch to still top the news in the MSM.
