TODAY'S REAL POLL: BUSH JOB APPROVAL - 52% AMONG LIKELY VOTERS
Rasmussen Reports ^ | August 28, 2005 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 08/28/2005 8:25:15 AM PDT by new yorker 77

Sunday August 28, 2005--Forty-nine percent (49%) of American adults now approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That's the most positive assessment since August 2. It is not clear whether this improvement reflects real change or is merely statistical noise.

Fifty percent (50%) disapprove.

Eighty-three percent (83%) of Republicans Approve of the President's performance along with 23% of Democrats and 36% of those not affiliated with either major party.

...

Cindy Sheehan, the woman who maintained an anti-War protest outside President Bush's ranch, is viewed favorably by 35% of Americans and unfavorably by 38%. Thirty-nine percent (39%) of Americans believe it is time to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq.

During 2004, reports on the President Job Approval were based upon surveys of Likely Voters. Typically, a survey of Likely Voters would report a Job Approval rating 2-3 points higher than a survey of all adults.

On Election Day, the President's Job Approval was at 52%. During all of 2004, the President's Job Approval ranged from a high of 57% in early January to a low of 48% on May 17.

The President's highest rating of 2005 was 54% on February 4.

Bush's Job approval is 49% among 'national adults' Add 3 points for a 'likely voter' sample.

Bush's Real Job Approval among 'likely voters' is 50%.

These are the results you get when you do not change the sampling for the liberal news organization that pays you to take the poll.

One televised speech and he's won back the hearts and minds, despite all the media's best efforts to slam him and our troops.

He never lost support.

Democrats, Republicans and Independents show support in the same percentages they did all last year and on election day.

Liberal news organizations use pollsters who change the sample. They oversample Democrats and undersample Republicans to get a more negative showing for Bush. They poll 'national adults' instead of 'likely voters'.

It' disgusting, but they will not get away with it any more.

FREEP ON!!

I'd be curious to see how Hillary's favorables compare to Head Case Cindy's.

Well, I've always believed that about 40% of the electorate were dangerous morons.

Not necessarily. Notice this poll, only 29% surveyed said they were Republicans. They can manipulate stats to suit their agenda, and we all know what that is.

Likely voters will never again vote for George W. Bush.

His approval rating is 49%, and that's not bad.

Rasmussen Poll: Hillary vs. Condi

Hillary 44% - Condi 38%

http://rasmussenreports.com/2005/Hillary%20Condi%20Laura.htm

This ought to quash the idea that Rasmussen is a Republican hack.

He just gets elections right.

Also, Hill ought to woory that she is performing like Kerry versus someone who has never run for office. 44% is waek. It's loser territory.

In the end, I think Cindy "whoever" will help our President. The best part of that polling, if you believe any of it, is the 83% of Rep support our President. That's a big number for somebody who's so horrible and such a lier...huuummmm.

The print media will go on a concerted mission to undermine the President every single day, beginning after Labor Day.

Sure, but any sane person ignores all such polls.
We don't have actually have daily re-elections.

What was the Pres App Rate on, say, 2004-07-23 ?
Who knows. Who cares?

The PAR was an invention of Legacy Media intended to
serve their own agendas. It was not created by public
demand. Legacy Media loves the PAR and similar pools,
because they can manipulate them, in how they craft the
questions, pick the sample, conduct the survey and spin
the results. It gives them a false sense of power in
their waning years.

Yes. 37%(Dem)-37%(Rep)-26%(Ind) is the 2004 Electorate voting tally This poll. 35%(Dem)-29%(Rep)-34%(Ind) According to this poll, 75% of Rep. support Bush. Reps undersampled by 8 points. 75% of 8 points is 6. 40% + 6% = 46% Add 3 points for a likely voter sample. REAL GALLUP APPROVAL is 49%. Math is a beautiful thing.

40%... this morning on MTP and Mathews show. 'Saigon' & 'Vietnam' followed every mention of Iraq. The question wasn't how do we win... it was... when will we force 'Bush' to cut-and-run.

I've never seen such blatant propaganda.

I hate polls
I pointed out to a local "conservative" talkshow host that polls only reflect the people they poll
If a poll only asks 1000 people and they claim that EVERYONE feels this way, allegedly 1000 people in L.A. speak for all 280 million Americans.
That the polls are skewed by nature.
In these days where many people have cellphones only and no land lines the polling pool is going to grow smaller over time.
Unfortunately we had a Prez who ran his entire life off of polls.
I bet Clinton put the toilet paper over the front or over the back of the roll depending on what the latest poll said.
I'm pleased as punch that we now have a Prez who seems to ignore polls.
