Cindy Sheehan's Friends (Robert Novak Exposes Cindy's Terror Supporting Cohorts in Crawford)
National Ledger ^ | Saturday, August 20, 2005 | Robert Novak

WASHINGTON -- At Cindy Sheehan's side since Aug. 6 when she began her antiwar protest outside President Bush's Texas ranch have been three groups that openly support the Iraqi insurgency against U.S. troops: Code Pink-Women For Peace, United for Peace & Justice, and Veterans For Peace.

Those organizations were represented at a mock "war crimes" trial in Istanbul that on June 27 produced a joint declaration backing the insurgency. Based on the United Nations Charter, it said "the popular national resistance to the occupation is legitimate and justified. It deserves the support of people everywhere who care for justice and freedom."

The Istanbul statement also rejected U.S. efforts to leave behind a democratic government in Iraq, asserting: "Any law or institution created under the aegis of occupation is devoid of both legal and moral authority."

CINDY'S FRIEND COLEEN

Minnesota Republican leaders could not stop smiling when they learned that former FBI whistleblower Coleen Rowley, running for Congress as a Democrat, was joining war protester Cindy Sheehan's demonstration.

Republicans were silent but delighted that Rowley would align with extreme antiwar demonstrators backing Sheehan. Rowley became a national hero when she revealed that her warnings about Sept. 11 terrorists were disregarded within the FBI. Since announcing her candidacy against second-term Republican Rep. John Kline, she has become an intense war critic.

Rowley was accompanied to Texas by Democratic State Sen. Becky Lourey, whose son was killed in Iraq. Like Sheehan, Lourey opposed the war before she lost her son.

The Democrat Party pulled Cindy Sheehan out of Crawford in a New York minute when they saw her unfavorable poll numbers.

They also saw the counter protests @ Crawford with more to come of real Americans. We are not spitting hate - just support for our President and the Troops. So they have no real defense except to cower.

Code Pink maintains a vigil at Walter Reed Hospital where these Traitors protest our Wounded Soldiers. They openly call our Soldiers War Criminals. They should be treated with contempt whenever they show their Skanky butts. These Quislings sent money to the Terrorists in Fallujah when our Marines were engaged with them in battle. The Same Terrorists who beheaded Iraqi Women, executed Children, and Tortured Iraqi Men. This kind of nonsense would never have been tolerated in WW2.

There were some of those (probably about 10 in number) staging a protest in front of the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento the other evening during commute time. Some (not many) motorists were honking and waving their hands in support. I pulled along side them, waiting for the light to change, and yelled out, "Get a job!"

Bump

O'Reiley interviewed the former FBI agent going to Crawford to suck up some air.

She looked like a deer in the headlights when Bill asked her about these associations.

Did he mention these groups by name?

EXCERPT

Rowley met Sheehan earlier this month at a Veterans for Peace convention in Dallas, where both women spoke. At that meeting, Sheehan shared her plans to stake out Bush's ranch.

A few days later, Rowley said, she called Lourey - whom she'd never met - and suggested a trip to Crawford to lend support to Sheehan. Rowley said Lourey had already considered making the trip.

Rowley said she wants to "stay in the background" and offer moral support to Lourey, especially since the vigil has drawn critics and counter-demonstrations in recent days.

Look closely. Those sandals are at least one size too small - her ugly ole toes are hanging over the edges! I guess nothing says that free stuff has to fit, huh?

This is worthwhile but I am surprised that there is no mention of the CRAWFORD PEACE HOUSE that has been housing and showering Cindy Sheehan and many others throughout her supposed "I'm in a tent" experince. The Crawford Peace House, pro Palestine, has a branch in the Phillipines, among other places. Another incidence of a liberal group with a lot of special interests just beneath the surface...peace is, apparently, subjective.
