ONE of the suspected masterminds of the July 7 London terror bombings has been holed up in Zimbabwe, reports said last night.

The Associated Press reported Thursday night that Haroon Rashid Aswat, 31, had been arrested by Zambian authorities after entering the country from Zimbabwe.

British investigators pursuing the terrorists whose carefully planned attacks on London's transport network killed 56 people say Aswat had telephone contact with some of the July 7 bombers.

It was not immediately clear how long Aswat had been living in Zimbabwe, or where he was living, although a Zambian official who spoke on condition of anonymity to the AP confirmed the arrest.

The British Foreign Office could only say they were were seeking access to a Briton reported to be in custory in Zambia, but would not identify him or say if he was connected to the terror bombings.

A British resident with Indian descent, Aswat reportedly interested investigators when they discovered that about 20 calls had been placed from his cellphone to some of the four suspected bombers.

Zimbabwean authorities have not commented on the arrest.

This is the start of what the world is going to be faced with when someone decides to deal with Magabee. I hope the Brits take a card from Amerca and start considering whether Mugabee is a sponser of terrorism.

It must have been about three years ago that I broke the story of Mugabe allowing Muslim terrorists to train in Zim in exchange for a lot of money. Sadly, the leftist US media didn't pick up on my report because it could have forced Bush to send forces into Zim, and the US left doesn't want this genocidal maniac removed, just as the left didn't want Saddam removed.

On another note, a month ago I broke the story that Bush had been briefed long ago that Iran's president-elect was in fact one of the terrorist leaders who sacked the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979 and that the CIA had been keeping a file on Ahmadinejad for decades. Yesterday, the administration admitted the president had been briefed just as I said.

The questions now become, what do we do about these two cases?

Seems like a good reason, per the Bush Doctrine, to take out Mugabe. Good job for the Brits.

Brits are a bit busy internally right now. I would recommend the Ghurka be dispatched.

Take no prisoners.

Semper Respectful

How can Mugabe be a "bad guy"?

He was a Heinz Distinguished Lecturer.

Pitt to Welcome U.N.’s Kofi Annan For Heinz Lecture
Previous H.J. Heinz Company Foundation Distinguished Lecture speakers have been ... Robert Mugabe, president of Zimbabwe ...

You have got to be kidding..I suppose this had the blessing of Te-RAY-zah? Here's just another reason that every day I count my lucky stars that they didn't win the election.

You have got to be kidding.

Kofi Annan got a Heinz Company Foundation *Humanitarian award* during the run-up to the 2004 election.

"Coincidentally," while he was in Pittsburgh to receive that award [Oct 2003] , Kofi delivered his Heinz Distinguished lecture, in which he chided Bush for going into Iraq.

*Kofi got the humanitarian award, partly, for having the UN distribute a nutritional supplement made in Heinz factories in Italy.

Guess I'm glad I went to Villanova where I had Ed Turzanski for Political Science (he's still teaching but now he's also a terrorism expert), and not that Keller guy from Pitt. Thanks for the links to the previous articles. I wonder what Pitt and the Heinz foundation are saying after the Oil for Food debacle. Likely we won't hear a peep.
