I say...track, photo, and ID them. Then, post their pictures and names on the Internet. Let everyone see who they are.

It's all bureaucracy. Information comes in, gets processed and evaluated, then may or may not be acted upon.

I'd like to think that motivation is considered, such as blatant calls for violence by the Left, but more likely "credible threats" are priority, meaning "cover our butts" is the dominant mentality throughout all state and federal agencies.

"Gee, Char, and all we heard about them here in the Bay Area was that some police had gotten a little rough with the protestors and they kept showing a picture of this poor little woman with a big owie on her face."

It was just an orderly PEACE march, wasn't it?

"In June 2005, moonbat celebrity professor Ward Churchill suggested to a Portland audience that killing military officers with explosive devices was a more effective anti-war tactic than conscientious objection. "Fragging an officer has a much more impactful effect," Churchill advised."

I wonder how "Mr." Churchill would feel about students "fragging" a Professor??? What a dolt!

Ms. Malkin is on target once again!!!

In April 2003, I reported on a mob of "peace" activists from an outfit called Direct Action to Stop the War that coordinated a seditious blockade of an Oakland port in shipping military supplies. The antiwar mob's primary target at the Port of Oakland was American President Lines, a longtime carrier of military cargo. For Operation Iraqi Freedom, the carrier made nine of its vessels available to the Defense Department in order to move ammunition and sustainment cargo to support U.S. military forces.

The anti-war obstructionists weren't simply exercising their "free speech." They blocked trucks, employees, entryways and streets in order to stop the shipment of things like bullets, rations, lubricants, medical supplies, repair parts and chemical defense equipment to our troops. They also targeted Stevedoring Services of America, which handled some 3 million tons of humanitarian aid.

-----

Protesters basically tried to impede the flow of materials headed to the Gulf for support of our troops in Operation Iraqi FReedom. It was big news here in the Bay Area for a few days.

Law enforcement took the gloves off literally and used a few new forms of crowd deterrents and some old ones too.

They should have sent all those involved to a camp for a few months to cool their heels.

Leftist Inspiration:

Author: 28th National Convention
First published 07/19/2005 10:12 by the Communist Party, USA

Whereas, the Iraqi Communist Party, with its heroic history of struggle against imperialism and brutal dictatorship, has been working under the most difficult conditions—including assassinations, bombings, and ideological attacks from forces determined to turn Iraq from the road of democratic development; and,

Whereas, despite these obstacles, the Iraqi Communist Party has been fighting for unity, national, political, and economic sovereignty, peace, trade union rights, political rights, and women's rights, in a secular, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, democratic society, rebuilding from the devastation imposed by U.S. invasion and occupation;

Therefore be it resolved, that the Communist Party, USA extends the hand of international solidarity to the Iraqi Communist Party, and accepts the internationalist responsibility to mobilize the U.S. working class and all peace-loving Americans to demand that all U.S. troops be brought home now from Iraq; and,

Be it further resolved, that we look forward to the day when our two parties, working classes, and peoples can meet again under conditions of peace and an independent and democratic Iraq.

End the occupation!
Bring the troops home now!
Long live the Iraqi Communist Party and the democratic forces of Iraq!

Adopted by the 28th National Convention of the Communist Party, USA, Chicago, IL; July 1-3, 2005.

Maybe I misspoke, but there's little doubt the left in America would happily kill those who oppose their ideology if they thought they could get away with it.

They revel in murdering babies, thats indication enough of their value of human life. It's not a far step from that to premeditated murder of any others who get in their way. The only thing that stops them (in my opinion) is fear of being caught and having to pay for their crimes.

The decent Mark Helprin wrote a great essay about the "Girls up front!" self-protective nastiness of the "to the barricades" leftist leaders. It gets reprinted from time to time in the WSJ. The filthy letist fomenters of violence are willing to sacrifice other people's lives and health...

Wait a minute here! Aren't you being a bit too harsh?

The first thing we should do is to try to understand the underlying causes of their violence and beliefs.

After you spend, say, a whole 10 seconds doing that, and you have figured out what the causes are (good, bad, or indifferent), gather them all up and send everyone of them to Gitmo with no further questions asked. And throw away the key!!!

It's not very bright to use terrorist threats against the US with the Patriot Act in effect. These idiots are probably wired (wireless) to the max. Phones tapped, GPS devices hidden on their vehicles, walls with ears, you name it.
