We want the law enforced, period. If the economy requires a million immigrants per year, then lets have that debate openly, and lets bring them in legally. With papers. No more bodies abandoned in the desert.

If we really want to have a two-tiered labor system, with some people protected by the law and some left unprotected, lets have that debate.

If we really believe that cheap labor is the source of our prosperity, and we want some people covered by minimum wage and some not, then lets have that debate.

But the idea that we can't control our border is dishonest. We can. We just have to want to. The idea that border security is a racist issue is dishonest. Mexico doesn't open her factories to Honduran immigrants, they expel a couple hundred thousand illegals each year.

I know people who are in this situation. They are good people. Its a travesty. Its dishonest. Its hypocritical. Let them in legally or don't let them in. No more of this in-between-nonsense.

Thats not an argument in favor of anything, or against anything. If you have a case for or against our current immigration policy, then make it.

I've made mine. If you disagree, fine. Explain your case. I'll read it and think about it. But the Nazi references aren't going to help your case or persuade anyone.

We are blessed. We have an economy that is capable of absorbing a fair influx of people. The people who are coming in are for the most part from this hemisphere, culturally Western, culturally Christian. We aren't faced with the challenge that Western Europe faces, making up their population deficits with people who despise western civilization.

But the current policy is unjust, dishonest, hypocritical. It creates a two-tiered labor force, some protected, some not. It allows, during wartime, anyone to enter the country, and we know not who.

Do you know some racists who favor border security? Do you know some racists who like Coca Cola?

Do you know some racists who like having access to cheap, unprotected labor?

Its not an argument. State your case, refute my case. I'll read your case and think about it.

They have NO case. There are a handful like CJ that come on these illegal threads and do their race-bating. They present no facts, no logic or anything to support millions of illegals entering the country. They are aware that 30% or more of those entering are not Hispanics, but they continue the anti-Hispanic rhetoric anyway. The majority of posters on these threads are all for immigration-but legal.

Then there are the ones who use the rule of law as an excuse for their open hatred of people of a different race or culture, although these Buchanan-Democrat types are clearly in the minority.

Don't forget to include the 47% of Hispanic voters who voted in favor of the anti-illegal alien measure Prop 200 in Arizona. I never realized that there were so many "anti-Hispanic" Hispanics in Arizona. I guess these Hispanic voters hate Hispanic illegal aliens because they're of a different race or culture, right?

Its the big corporations that is the real enemy behind the scenes. My company was really ramping up its employment of illegal mexicans last year through a local contracting company when one day out of the blue so to speak the head of human resources kicked everyone of them out of our plant. It seems that someone got the word ahead of time that there would be an inspection by Immigration services.
It all boils down to MONEY. My plant used to be staffed almost entirely by white males. Today white males represent just 35% of the work force plant wide. The sad fact of the matter is that when you have a population of predominately white males employed companies feel they have no choice but to give them the salary and benefits they deserve. That has now changed. When companies infuse large ammounts of female and minority workers onto their payrolls the dynamics of salary and benefits change for the worst for all concerned. Call me a bigot if you will but we are getting the hammer dropped on us and I fear that the worst is yet to come.
